INTRODUCTION handrails at University of Santo Thomas –

Legazpi, St. Albert Building.
The human body can accumulate a lot of
different diseases caused by bacteria. People may
not consider this as a threat to their health when
in reality it may cause severe sickness to the
system (Park, 2017). Bacteria are found in every
habitat on Earth: soil, rock, oceans and
even arctic snow. Some live in or on other
organisms including plants and animals including
humans. It can also cling to metals that are used
in everyday situations. Just like doorknobs,
faucets, shopping carts, public tables and
handrails. These are some of the common places
where bacteria may lurk without people knowing
that they exist.
Researches have found a similar study.
According to Amala and Monsi from AJMAH
6(2), a major source of hospital acquired infection
was the contamination of inanimate object
surfaces and cross- transmission of virulent
microorgranisms among critically ill
patients.This contamination occurred by transfer
at microbes on the hands, nostrils, etc. of workers
in health facilities as well as from patients and
visitors.Based on the previous study the
infections are serious health issues in the health-
care system.
The goal of this research is to isolate and
determine the important bacteria associated with
