RESUMO:
SUMMARY:
Tracheal stenosis after intubation is still a complication in the middle of this very
intensive therapy. The essential function is to allow the cuff that the patient is
mechanically ventilated, with no air leakage during ventilation and prevent aspiration
of pharyngeal contents, but its contact with the tracheal mucosa in arteriolar
pressures above the pressure of the trachea around 32mmHg can cause irreparable
damage to it. With the use of cuffed endotracheal tubes of high volume low pressure
has significantly decreased the occurrence of tracheal stenosis after intubation,
although this remains one of tracheal diseases most frequently observed in clinical
surgical unit.
Through studies and researches, it is observed that one of the causes of this
complication and the high pressure intrabalonete, due to failure to measure and
control this pressure on a regular basis through pre-existing protocols in intensive
care units and emergency units. Because it is a complication that occurs internally
and later humans have more ease with immediate visual image, often goes
unnoticed by those involved in the care they are more intent on solving the problems
more visible as aspiration of secretions, control infusions drugs, ventilator settings,
changing position, etc.. without thinking about the impact of their actions.
Also working as a unit of the surgical unit, receiving the user to surgery, which
almost always mentions hospitalization in the Intensive Care Unit, with endotracheal
intubation and witnessing the suffering of these people, I enjoyed this experience and
was seeking to increase my knowledge about which led to this complication, because
education is essential for behavioral change.

e a boca.
