child’s/children’s whereabouts at all times. Your
child(ren) MUST BE in your company at all times.
4. New Church Directory: A pictorial church directory is
coming. A reputable photo service has scheduled dates
for our church family photos to be taken September 4th,
5th & 6th between 2:30 - 8PM. Please see bulletin board
for the sign up sheet.

Upcoming Events
6. Sunday, August 26: London church team will meet with
other churches in Western District for a soccer
tournament at Edwards Soccer Pitch in Petrolia, (for
GPS: 4035 EDWARD ST, Petrolia, ON). Please see
Heather Baptiste or Simone Biggs for more information.
7. Sunday, August 26 from 3 - 7 pm: will be ACES
registration. Information is on the website
at www.aceslondon.ca. School starts on Tuesday,

8. Sunday, August 28th: Outreach to the homeless
continues. Volunteers are needed to serve meals to the
group. Parking is available behind the building at 696
Dundas Street Ark Aid Christian Mission. If you can help,
please speak to Teresa Ferreira.

all who are age 55 and over (and guests) for a walk in
Springbank Park. Please meet at the shelter across from
the Shoppers Drug Mart on Commissioners Rd. at 11
AM. A potluck picnic lunch will follow the walk.
10. September 1st: North London Church 30th
Anniversary Celebration & Church Rededication:
The London church will be closed for us to join the
North London church as they rededicate their church
and recollect on the past 30 years. You don’t want to
miss this celebration!
11. September 4th, 10th, 13th, 17th, 20th, 24th, October 1st
and 4th: Next “Depression the Way Out” program will
be at the North London SDA Church, 800 Fleet Street at
Oxford Street 7:00-9:00 p.m. For the last test results,
we will have a supper and get together on October
11th. Cost for program is $175.00 per/person and for two

12. September 10: Monthly church board meeting at
7:00pm. Church board officers are asked to be present.
13. Wednesday, September 12th: Monthly Open House
Community Service from 4 to 7 pm. Setting up is
done on Tuesday evening starting at 5 pm.
Volunteers are needed for both dates. Please speak to
Teresa Ferreira or any member of the Community
Services Team for more details.

London Seventh-day Adventist Church
1898), the first Seventh-day Adventist Church was organized in
London. The Church in London was birthed amidst disappointments,

hostility and perseverance. The first Adventists included Peter Gibson
of London who is believed to be buried in the Glanworth Cemetery, Mr. August 25, 2018
and Mrs. Corcoran and a Mrs. Estacy Young of Delaware. On
November 17, let us celebrate our Adventist Heritage, our place in
history, and our cultural diversity as together we endeavor to be a part
in growing God's Kingdom on earth.
