Reduction and reshaping of the chin and jaws is carried out

using V-line surgery.

T-osteotomy for V-line

The procedure of cutting/shaving the bone in a T shape,

discarding the middle por tion and then fusing the remaining

bones of the chin together and trimming the line of the chin is

the T-osteotomy for V-line surgery.

Using the t-shaped bone cutting, adjustments can be made

for the ratio of the chin tip, if the chin line is long or wide. In doing
so trimming can also be performed. Moreover, the alignment of

the chin from the rear and frontal view can also be made
propor tionate as well as the movement of the chin can also

be adjusted.

Trimming of the chin line from the mandibular angle to

the tip of the chin is done using this surgical method. This method
is also used for performing the cortical osteotomy. This procedure
helps to attain the sof t chin cur vature, a slim tip along with
a gentle chin line in cases where a wider chin is evident.

Cheekbone reduction corrects overly prominent cheekbones

a face. Surgical incisions are made orally and/or near the hairline,
thus the cheekbones are chiseled to suit the face with no visible

Mandible Reduction
Mandibular reduction is performed to smoothen the jawline
to reveal a softer curved aesthetic. This procedure is ideal for patients
with square and orwide jaws.
Chin Surgery
Chin augmentation (Mentoplasty) corrects and improves a weak
chin. For simple and common cases, an implant is used to enhance
the contour of the chin. Incisions are made intraorally or under the
chin, depending on the surgeon's diagnosis. A pocket will then be
created whereby a customized implant will be inserted and sealed
in place. Often, chin augmentations are performed in conjunction
with rhinoplasty to balance the enhanced facial features.
Sliding Genioplasty
In severe cases where the patient has an overtly short and
weak chin, a chin implant may not be the solution. Patients who find
themselves in such a predicament may not experience enough
of an improvement by merely augmenting the chin. Additional
chin implants are unable to modify the vertical dimension of the
chin. Therefore, in applicable circumstances sliding genioplasty
would be the ideal procedure for achieving facial harmony.

At Grand Esta we per form our facelif ts using the SMAS
technique, the entire lower face is pulled up and the jowls are
reduced, the neck is tightened, the sagging cheeks are lifted up
and the mouth and nose lines are removed. The separation of the
skin and the muscle layer is required to carry out the SMAS face lift.
The layers are adjusted in such a way that the cheeks are
adequately raised. After complete contouring of the face, the skin
is placed back , excess skin removed and the skin reattached in
the new ideal location. This procedure is typically per formed
together with a neck lift f o r o l d e r p a t i e n t s w i t h v i s i b l e n e c k
sagging and double chin.
NECK LIFTING
A neck lift is performed via a tiny incision around the lower
ear lobe towards the back of the ear. From then sagging tissue,
f a s c i a a n d m u s c l e a re v e r t i c a l l y a u g m e n t e d a n d f u s e d t o
an elevated position.
Therefore reversing a double chin and/or sagging chin and
reversing the neck region to a youthful state. Our surgeon then
carefully conceals the incision scar within a crease which leaves
traces of the surgery undetectable.
