SUBJECT: SUBMISSION OF INDIVIDUAL ACTUAL DUTIES


AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In faithful compliance to memorandum dated January 3,


2014 requiring all PAO officials and employees to submit an
individual listing of their individual duties and responsibilities,
the following are my individual actual duties and responsibilities
as a Public Attorney in the Manila District Office:

1. To render free legal services to all qualified indigent


clients of the Public Attorney’s Office in the Manila
District Office, clients appointed to me as counsel de
officio and any qualified client referred to me by the
PAO Central Office;

2. To comply with all the lawful orders and


memorandums of the Public Attorney’s Office
rendered by the appropriate PAO officials regarding
any office policies, service procedures and other
lawful matters pertaining to my work as a public
attorney;

3. To submit on time my monthly performance report,


year-end report, inventory of pending cases etc.

4. To attend Court hearings before the Regional Trial


Court Branch 19 of Manila every Wednesday,
Thursday, and Friday mornings;

5. To attend Court hearings before the Regional Trial


Court Branch 28 of Manila every Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Friday afternoons;

6. To attend the scheduled hearings conducted in the


Manila City Jail (Justice on Wheels), Correctional for
Women (Mandaluyong) and in the New Bilibid Prisons
(Muntinlupa);

7. To attend all the scheduled hearings of assigned cases


in the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and
National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC);

8. To attend conciliation hearings and mediations;

9. Attend inquest duties;

10. To attend all the scheduled inquest hearings in the


Department of Justice (main office), Office of the City
Prosecutor of Manila, and any police station within
the jurisdiction of the Manila District office;

11. Attend night court hearing if there is one during


inquest duty;
12. To be assigned as the Lawyer of the Day every week
as designated per day;

13. To render services such as but not limited to giving of


advises to walk-in clients, clients in court, and other
persons who are in need of legal services;

14. Answer queries as regards legal matters in person,


through telephone, or text messages;

15. To prepare pleadings and other legal documents for


judicial and non-judicial clients;

16. To study case records to be fully prepared for each


handled case;

17. To act as a troubleshooter/reliever in Court or any


administrative hearing in case a fellow Public
Attorney is on leave or indisposed;

18. To conduct jail visitation to clients at least four times


a month and interview clients who are currently
detained;

19. To attend and participate in all of the office


sanctioned activities including but not limited to,
seminars, conventions, meetings, charity activities
and occasional recreational activities;
