1 DAVIESS COUNTY WINE AND BREW FEST – AUG. 31
In Downtown Washington, the festival will cover three blocks on Main Street.
Five wineries including Easley, Windy Knoll, First Miracle, Huckleberry and Hunter’s
Ridge, as well as three breweries, Schnitz, Carson and Vincennes, will have booths. A Brave
New Wave is set to play live music at 5:30, followed by Two Miles Back at 7:30 p.m. Music is
free at the Gazebo in Meredith Plaza. Food booths in the former German American parking
lot will include Little Boondock Concessions, barbecue, Thainamite, tacos, fish, fudge, crafts
and antique cars will be on display. Main and Second streets. Tickets are $10 each for eight
free tastings. Additional tasting tickets are $1 each.

through Oct. 27 at the Riverfront Pavilion, 102 N. Second St. From 8

from local farmers, vendors with artisan breads, fresh-cut flowers
and “General Store” specialty items. On Wednesdays from 4 p.m.
to 7:30 p.m., the market continues with local favorite Bobe-B-Q and

11 WHITE RIVER VALLEY ANTIQUE ASSOCIATION SHOW –
SEPT. 6-9
The 34th annual antique show will open at the Elnora Fairgrounds on
Thursday. Demonstrations of sawmill, threshing, baling, water-powered grist
mill, blacksmithing, stream engines, a print shop and more. Also, there will be apple cider
making, sorghum, apple butter, lye soap, candle making, homemade ice cream, root beer
and a big pot of ham and beans cooking over an open fire. The show features live music
nightly and starting at noon Saturday and Sunday. A horse pull is set for Thursday evening,
with tractor pulls on Friday and Saturday, and an antique tractor parade in the arena at 2
p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $5; children 12 and under are admitted free.

Now in its 41st year, hundreds of classic cars will roll into Washington this

the Vincennes State Historic Sites will be held
Thursday through Saturday, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
