Subject : SITREP and ADVISORY UPDATE RE: SOUTHWEST MONSOON as of


9:00AM

I. GENERAL SITUATION

The Southwest Monsoon (HABAGAT) is now being enhanced by a newly developed TROPICAL
DISTURBANCE 93W (LPA) along the Northern portion of the West Philippine Sea, bringing
moderate to extreme rainfall (30 to more than 100 mm) across Batanes, Calayan &
Babuyan Island Group; Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, La
Union, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Nueva. Vizcaya, Nueva. Ecija, TARLAC, Pangasinan,
Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metropolitan Manila, Rizal, Laguna, Batangas;
Lubang Island and Oriental Mindoro TODAY THROUGH THURSDAY EARLY MORNING
(June 14). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these
affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE, RED, and VIOLET Rain Alerts (Severe Weather
Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary
measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
As per monitoring and Telephone calls to our MDRRMO’s hereunder is the effect of the SW
Monsoon in the province, to wit;

III. TARLAC RIVER SYSTEM AND TRIBUTARIES ARE STILL UNDER NORMAL SITUATION.

IV. ACTION TAKEN

1. ON BLUE ALERT LEVEL STATUS in close coordination with LDRRMC’s, Partner


Agencies and closely monitoring the situation.

2. Regularly sending advisories to all LDRRMC’s to be on alert status and to closely


monitor the situation in their AOR in anticipation of the effects of the South West
Monsoon and sent SITREPs to OCD/PGO and other concerned Offices/agencies thru
Fax, text message, Social media (yahoo mail / Facebook) and telephone calls.

3. Coordinated with Tarlac Police Provincial Office, TOG3 PAF, 3rd Mechanized Inf.
Battalion, 522nd Engineering Battalion and Provincial Engineers Office/Provincial
Equipment Pool Office for possible deployment of assets and personnel if the need
arises.
