Providing Survivor
Survivor--Centered Services to
LGBTIQ Survivors of Sexual and Domestic Violence
October 18, 2010, 8 am – 5pm — Medford Public Library, Medford, OR
The Gender Center, the Oregon Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, and the
Oregon Attorney General’s Sexual Assault Task Force are collaborating to present a statewide
training for professionals providing services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and
queer/questioning (LGBTIQ) survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence in Oregon.
Cost
There is no cost for the training, and lunch will be on your own.
Training Location
The training will be held at the Medford Public Library. The Medford Public Library is located at
205 South Central Ave., Medford, OR 97501.

Instructors
Allison Elise Cleveland has an extensive feminist history rich with active participation in the social justice/service
community. She has served on various committees throughout the state, including seven years with the Oregon
Department of Justice’s Crime Victims Service Division and for six years she has been an appointed member of the
Attorney General’s Sexual Assault Task Force (AGSATF) and she sits on the Legislative and Public Policy Committee.
Allison has worked intimately with state legislators to pass a multitude of critical laws for the advancement of sexual
and gender minority rights. She is also the Founder and Executive Director of The Gender Center, which works to
create a safe and accepting society for gender and sexual minorities through outreach, education, supportive
resources, and anti-violence advocacy. Allison is a highly skilled and effective advocate for the sexual and gender
minority. She is a noted expert and speaker on gender identity issues around the state.
Alexa Priddy joined the SATF in July 2008. She has worked with issues related to sexual violence for nearly 10
years and is committed to ending sexual violence in our culture through training and prevention efforts. Alexa has
worked as a victim advocate, educator, program coordinator and trainer on college campuses and in communities in
Wisconsin, Oregon, and Virginia. She has a MA in Women’s Studies from the University of Arizona and a strong
commitment to advancing understandings of gender issues and gender-based violence and discrimination across
Oregon. Alexa is committed to recognizing the intersections of oppressions in our culture and how that impacts
perceptions and responses to sexual violence.
Gabby Santos is the Program Coordinator for Underserved Communities for the Oregon Coalition Against
Domestic & Sexual Violence (OCADSV). She has worked with survivors of violence in roles ranging from Inverness
Jail Support Group Facilitator to Legal Advocate for the Arizona Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Her 16 years of
advocacy and community education have helped to promote violence-free living within various underserved
communities. Racial justice work, gender identity activism and criminal justice reform are at the heart of her
passion. Gabby provides leadership to the OCADSV Communities of Color Task Force, coordinates the Oregon
DELTA Preparing and Raising Expectations for Prevention Project (DELTA PREP), participates in the Gender Positive
Shelter Accessibility Committee (GPSAC) and is a member of the Firearms and Domestic Violence Task Force.
