Welcome Letter Dear Stuclent, We take immense pleasure to welcome you to the Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (registered as M.S Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences). Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) 2.1 Origin of RUAS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, RUAS (registered as M.S Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences) created by an act in the State of Karnataka, India, came into existence in December 2013. The University is sponsored by Gokula Education Foundation (Medical) (GEF (M)) -a public charitable trust. The University was created by transferring “M.S. Ramaiah School of Advanced Studies (1999), M.S. Ramaiah College of Hotel Management (1993), M.S. Ramaiah College of Pharmacy (1992), M.S. Ramaiah Dental College (1991) and M.S. Ramaiah Advanced Learning Centre (2012)” hitherto owned by GEF (M). The University offers student centric degree programme at Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral levels. The University programme are designed to ensure that the graduates of the University are equipped with the theoretical knowledge and skills expected by industry and business. The Sanskrit word for Swan is Hamsa or Hansa, and is the vehicle of Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of Wisdom. The Swan symbolizes purity par excellence and fidelity. The two Swans represent symbol of life, fertility and beauty. The Book represents the Knowledge and the Lamp with the rays represents devotion and fulfillment.
