Course Structure:
Bellwork will be posted on the class website each day (with the exception of Test Days); students will have 5 to 7 minutes to
complete the questions. Answers will be reviewed after the students are done. On Fridays, students will turn in the week’s
Bellwork for a weekly grade. Bellwork is beneficial for assessment of learning, helping clarify the curriculum, preparation
for the test, and preparation for the Final Exam at the end of the year.

Test will be given every over the period of the course to prepare for the Post-Assessment Final Exam. Students will also
complete vocabulary assessments using Quizlet, these will be checked for classwork grade for each chapter/section. A Post-
Assessment Exam will be given by the state at the end of the year. This is a required exam for which there are no
exemptions.

Weekly projects will be assigned to develop the five specific competencies or skills areas of the course. All projects and
activities will follow strict deadlines that must be met.

Late Work Policy:

Any student who misses a class due to an absence is expected to make-up missed assignments. The student is responsible
for getting the missed assignments from the teacher and scheduling times to makeup work. All assignments will be listed on
the class calendar on the homepage of the website (www.ehsdigitalmedia.weebly.com), if a student has missed a class they
may check the website. Also, parents are encouraged to follow along with the class through out site.

Late work is accepted at any time during the current quarter in which it is due. However, late work will incur a 10%
deduction in point for every day the assignment is late. If the assignment is not turned in after the 10 calendar days (five
class days that we meet) the student will receive a 0. The assignment may be turned in to receive feedback if it is submitted
after that time. Extenuating circumstances will be decided by teacher discretion.

No late work may be turned in after the Quarter is over.

Retest Policy:
Students coring below a 69% may retake an test.

• The score of the second test and first test will be AVERAGED for a final replacement test score.
• The re-test must be done within ONE week of the original test.
• ALL work for the unit or objective must be submitted prior to the retest (if any is missing), as well as a retest
request form (given by the teacher) must be submitted due at the time of the re-test. If all work is not submitted in
addition to the retest request, a retest will not be given.

Tardy Policy:
All students are expected to be present and on time for class everyday, unless they have an excused tardy or absence. If the
tardy is unexcused a log will be kept in class documenting each tardy and time. The policy is as follows:

Tardy #1 and #2 – Warning

Tardy #3 – Teacher/Student conference going over the consequences and impact of tardiness.

Tardy #4 – Teacher will connect with both Student and Parent letting them both knows of the following consequences (#5
and #6).

Tardy #5 – 10 minute detention and warn of following consequences (#6). Detention is write-up in EASi for
noncompliance.

Tary #6 – Administration takes action based on tardiness reported in PowerSchool.

Cell Phones, Headphones and Other Electronics:

It’s seems important to be connected, but during class personal electronics are a distraction to learning and productivity in
class. Students are expected to immediately put away personal electronic devices when instructed without delay. After the
first warning the cell phone will be taken and returned at the end of class. If the problem persists, other disciplinarian
