Synopsis

TITLE OF THE PROJECT

“A study on Electronic Data Storage – Steel Factory, Mumbai”

INTRODUCTION TO THE TOPIC

The Indian steel industry has made a rapid progress on strong fundamentals over the
recent few years. The industry is getting all essential ingredients required for dynamic
growth. The government is backing the industry through favorable industrial reforms,
while the private sector is supporting it with investments worth billions of dollars. Even in
the tough times of economic slowdown, the industry succeeded to sustain its positive
growth momentum on the strong fundamentals of domestic demand from construction,
automobile and infrastructure sectors. With an impressive track record, the country has
become a reputed name in the world steel industry.

In this report a brief overview on the Indian steel industry will be given. Its current
position and future outlook will be also discussed. Also the Indian steel industry with
respect to logistics will be also discussed to certain extent. SWOT analysis for the Indian
steel industry will be done to find out the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and treats
faced by the industry.

Logistics and supply chain is one of the key drawbacks for the Indian steel industry. In
this report the current scenario of handling and transportation of steel will be discussed
briefly. Finally some measures which are to be taken by the industry to be competent in
the global market will be analyzed and discussed.

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY

1. To know what role electronic data storage in a steel factory of Mumbai.
2. To understand the electronic data storage in a steel factory of Mumbai.
3. To understand the opportunities offered to businesses by electronic data storage.
4. To understand the challenges faced by businesses using electronic data storage.
5. To providing a media for the purposes of security and customer service.

1
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
Though Electronic data storage is critical high prioritized subject in many countries, in
India it is still a developing story. In order to get the security in place there should be
something to protect and to protect something it should have a considerable value. But
without seeing a value, people will not invest on security. There are two main categories
in this domain. The first group identify the value of the information and try to do
something to protect them. The second groups do not see and value of the information and
think investment for Electronic data storage in steel factory. The Electronic data storage of
an organization relies on the hands of people belong to these two types. Doing nothing is
critical and meanwhile doing something is also vulnerable. The most important things are
that these two groups do not have a clear idea what they are playing with. Sometimes it
could be highly confidential personal data or it could be some financial information which
is the lifeblood of an organization.

METHODOLOGY

Research methodology is a way to solve the research problem in a systematic manner. It

may understand as a science of studying how the research is done significantly. The
methodology may differ from problem to problem, yet the basic approach towards the
research remains the same. The sequence or steps followed have been explained as under:

1. Data collection
The collection of information will be done through two principal sources, viz.
 Primary Data: It is the information that will be collected directly without any
reference in this study it is to gathered through interviews with concerned officers
and staff either individually or collectively some of the information will be verify
and supplement through personal observation.
 Secondary Data: The secondary data will be collected from already published
sources such as pamphlets of annual reports, internal records, books, journals,
magazines, and websites.

2
2. Research design
This is a descriptive research as it will clarify the doubts about online marketing. It would
give us a clear picture on the effectiveness and reliability of online marketing compared to
the offline form of marketing.

5.3. Sample universe

 Basis of sampling: Sample should be a user of internet or should have knowledge
about internet and 50 numbers in all
 Sampling Technique: Judgmental Non Probability sampling can be used to select
the individual units for better productivity of the questionnaire. A well educated
person may be able to reason out the questions in the better way.

5.4. Data analysis stage

Data collected through primary & secondary sources will be tabulated and summarized so
as to draw logical conclusions.

6. Limitations:
Every scientific study has certain limitations and the present study is no more exception.
These are:
 The time constraint may be one of the major problems.
 The lack of information sources for the analysis part.
 Sample size will be limited due to the limited period allocated for the survey.
 Getting accurate responses from the respondents due to their inherent Problems,
personality traits, and mood fluctuations may be very difficult task.
 Some respondents may be re-contacted as per their convenience of time.
 Some data may be given by the staffs may be not proper. Like their contact number &
address, etc.
