6.1 General
1. All service’s isolated and made safe data, electricity CM

2. Ensure all constraints on operations have been identified and precautions are
taken and also appropriate area access has been obtained which is attached is the
risk assessment

3. Ensure all safety requirements specific to the task are identified and SM/QA/QCM
implemented.

4. All necessary equipment, personnel and other services required for the works
to be arranged and proper water, lighting, power to be ensured.

5. Ensure that all the retained finishes are protected in the demolition area. SM/QA/QCM
6. Ensure that work area is clear and safe.

6.2 Pre-construction
1. Ensure that Employee inductions and tool Box talks for discussing risks
assessment and identification and control measures of hazards are implemented. SM/CM SPECS/PQP

2. Area where the dismantling of joinery units takes place to be adequately

barricaded.

3. Safe access scaffold and working platform will be provided by the scaffold
department for the dismantling of joinery units with proper access ladder.

4. Only workers directly involved with work will be allowed in the area and warning
+ signs will be placed around the working area.

7.0 Supervision
1. Constant supervision shall be provided during all dismantling activities by site
engineer. SE/CM/QCE SPECS/PQP

The site engineer and the foreman will be directly responsible for the dismantling
activities on site and the construction manager will have the overall responsibility,
however this is not a full time site appointment. The work will done through
specialist sub-contractor, and his senior supervision will be available on site as long
as this activity is ongoing.
8.0 Risk and Control SE/CM/QCE
1) Occupational and health assessment of activities will be carried out on entire
course of the job.

2) Environment controls (Dust and noise control) will be in place.

3) First aid facilities will be made available in the site.

4) Emergency procedures are in place and are communicated to the personnel ITL
employed at site.

Detailed risk assessment will be done & all possible hazards will be
identified.
In addition to the weekly tool box talks, Daily safety task instruction
meeting / daily safety training will be done before the
commencement of each shift and each new task.
All Vehicles will have valid licenses and passes before entering the
site.
PPE shall be issued to all personnel, this shall be job specific and will CM/SE
include but it is not limited to
Full body harness
Polycarbonate safety helmet
Safety Boots
Safety Harness
Hand Protection
Eye protection
