Dear Prayer Partners:
Field News Greetings in the Name of Jesus:
Extra Christmas
In the village of Sibasa, in Southern Africa, there was only one source of water
Love Offering from a well dug in 1984. Two tribes lived there, the predominant tribe had grown more in

number than the other tribe. Somehow, they had taken on the role of leadership and

Prayer Requests was not right and grew rebellious, as the well did not belong to anyone in particular, it was to
be used by all the village... Thus, arguments and fighting often broke out when locals
Our Mission came to draw water. The elders in charge of the village could not control the men;
Emphasis Ultimately tempers flared, violence broke out and a major fight took place; The "smaller
tribe" were outnumbered by the "predominant tribe" who beat them unmercifully,
almost killing two of the young men. Their honor wounded, they left and tried to figure out
how their families would survive.

A young student from Bible College returned to his village for winter break, and
was heartbroken when he saw what had taken place. He wrote us begging Br. John to
help his village, to dig a new well, so that all the people could have water. Our Indigenous
Pastor, Br Lukas, who had planted a church very close to this village, met the student as
he was leaving to return back to Bible School. They talked about the well problem, and
Pastor Lukas said he would pray about the matter; He felt led to write to Br. John, asking if
we could help them dig a new well on the Mission church property, which was already
fenced, allowing the villagers to draw water whenever they needed to. This would bring the
people into the property and create an opportunity for him to minister to them, inviting them
to attend church to hear the Gospel and they would get saved. Most people would come to
the well daily.
What a great opportunity to reach the lost for the Lord

We felt the urgency and contacted a brother in S. Africa who digs wells, asking him
to look into the matter on our behalf and report back. Br. Izak was so touched that he said
he would start right away to dig the well. We asked how much it would cost and he replied
$8,000.00 (Normally the cost would be closer to $18,000.00 which includes parts, labor and
transportation to the site) ... we said we did not have that kind of money at such short notice,
but he assured us that he was not asking for payment right away, we could pay him when
we were ready. He was willing to donate his time, labor and travel costs to help our work -
as unto the Lord. We have known this man and his family for years, he is a brother in
Christ who Loves God and the mission field (he has a passion for souls to be saved). We
ask you to please pray in the funds to help pay for the new water well.

I looked up to see Anita with a note we had received from the field - THE WATER
WELL HAS BEEN COMPLETED - Everyone testifies that there is a complete change in the
village. People live together in peace now, no more fighting, Praise The Lord - and Glory be
to God, the Mission Church has grown adding 8 new families who got saved, baptized and
joined the church, a total of 41 new members. What a blessing!!
