WAFFLE SLAB DESIGN USING POST-TENSIONING1

Where concrete is relatively expensive and height limitations are critical, post-tensioned waffle slab
construction is likely to be the most economical alternative, compared to other options. This
Technical Note offers several views of post-tensioned waffle slab construction, along with views of
its modeling for analysis and design using ADAPT FLOOR Pro program2.
