BACK GROUND
Chartered Consultants International (CCI) was established in the year of 1986. The corporate office is located
in the heart of the capital city of Dhaka. It was initially founded as MultiComn Trading Co. Ltd. in 1978 and
started promoting, marketing and representing world reputed equipment makers as well as internationally
recognized consulting firms. It has business partners in Bangladesh and worldwide.
In 1978, CCI, then MultiComm started dealing with the supply and installation of Magneto Telephone
Exchange leading up to Computer-controlled Digital Telephone Exchange in the telecommunications sector,
making it as one of the oldest firms in Bangladesh. CCI has expanded and extended services in many other
sectors and earned reputation in marketing and in upholding the interest of overseas multi-disciplinary
consulting firms. Using the wide range of marketing and lobbying expertise gained as a result of being involved
in marketing of consulting services, systems and products, CCI has secured and won many development
projects in various sectors in Bangladesh. Since 1986, CCI has been representing world reputed multi-
disciplinary consulting firms and organizations.
CCI has a very good track record as reflected in the list of projects (on page 5) in which it has been involved.
We are highly experienced in dealing and securing projects funded by Asian Development Bank (ADB), World
Bank, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), under Bilateral Protocols. We have regular contacts
with government departments, agencies, ministries, etc in Bangladesh and through this network we are made
aware of upcoming projects through the various contacts established at different levels in the projects.
We specialize in

• securing and procuring consultancy contracts and projects.

• short-listing and in competitive International tendering and evaluation procedures and bilateral
business promotion and equipment supply orders using the local know-how.

• bidding procedures, winning know-how and in providing logistic services to consulting firms.
Apart from the activities with foreign firms listed below, CCI worked as marketing consultant and agent of local
consulting firms and International companies.

SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES
A wide range of services we provide includes:

♦ Undertake the overall responsibilities related with marketing of consulting services and its promotional
activities.

♦ Coordinate, monitor and evaluate the local joint marketing activities.

♦ Suggest the useful and effective business plan and strategy for marketing.

♦ Follow-up and update the marketing approaches and attempts.

♦ Carry-out the mandate related with marketing in Bangladesh on exclusive basis as well as project to
project basis on behalf of local and foreign firms.

♦ Identification of projects and markets for both local and foreign consulting firms and organizations.

♦ Collection of project details, Terms Of Reference and documents for both local and foreign consulting
firms for tendering purpose etc.

♦ Collection of equipment list and detail information regarding needs and requirements of the clients.

♦ Arrange meeting and discussion between clients and consulting firms.

♦ Introduction of consulting firms and their range of services as well as equipment markers and their range
of products.

♦ Submission of Expression of Interest (EOI) of Consulting firms and take care the short-listing.

♦ Uphold the interest of overseas and local consulting firms and the formation of joint venture in association
with local firms and foreign firms.

♦ Arrangement of collaboration between and among the local firms and international firms.

♦ Assist to be pre-qualified and short-listed.

♦ Assist the standardization of services and products.

♦ Support and assist to prepare the Expression of Interest for pre-qualification matching the local
requirements and its timely submission as well as to prepare and submit the introductory proposals,
technical proposal etc. to the clients.

♦ Support and guide to prepare and submit the winning proposals, quality technical and financial proposals
within the deadline.

♦ Provide the local know-how, competitive bidding procedures and evaluation methods etc.

♦ Exchange information in advance about future and upcoming projects and procurements procedures,
rules, tendering etc.
