DIRECTIONS for assembling the QUESTION BANK for each course.

The HEAD of the department assigns the task of setting up the question bank to THREE SETTERS per subject (per Catalogue number), and assigns ONE
MODERATOR for each subject.
The SETTERS should be asked to start compiling the papers into a word file in a tabular format given below using the following steps.
1. The question paper is to be turned in by logging into the paper-setting software to be shared with you shortly.
2. Till then prepare the question paper on a word file in the tabular format given below.
3. After the software is available, download the EXCEL file corresponding to the given subject and copy the content of the WORD table onto it.
4. Upload the excel file on to the system and fill in the required equations, and upload the required figures.
5. Submit the paper to your moderator

For STEP 2 above, use the following tabular form. Copy this table into a new word file for each paper
(a) A total of 60 questions need to be set as per the following table.
(b) For each UNIT, and each SUB-UNIT four questions are to be set: One SHORT-DESCRIPTIVE, one SHORT-ANALYTIC, one LONG-DESCRIPTIVE, andone
LONG ANALYTIC. For each UNIT, and each SUB-UNIT
(c) Fill in the Course OUTCOME (CO) against each question. These Co’s refer to CO’s given in the approved syllabus.
(d) Each short question, descriptive or analytic should be worth 4 (four) marks and should take about 5 minutes to answer.
(e) Each long question, descriptive or analytic should be worth 10 (ten) marks and should take about 15 minutes to answer.
(f) Any equation or figure required for a question should be referred to simply as ‘equation’ or ‘figure’ in the body of question here. A separate sheet
of equations should be prepared on a piece of paper to be copied on the paper when working with the software. (Fill it in using the built-in
equation editor)
(g) Prepare all figures as separate .bmp or.png or .jpg files. These are to be uploaded through the software wherever prompted for.
