fully mature. In the past, people used to

cheaper, and (in my opinion) tastes
much better. Producers know consumers
would go for the easy stuff, so they rush
the production and slaughter of animals.
Up to the present, this is still happen-

Bad things are happening to our food.
Back then, people made food the honest,
decent way. Now, not so much. People
slaughter and abuse animals that are at
pre-mature ages. Cows are supposed to
eat grass, right? Now, “farmers” feed
them corn just because it’s (like fast
food) cheaper, and it gets the cow fatter
faster. This is the cause of a few prob-
lems, including the dreaded Ecoli, which
is a disease that can result in death. It
isn’t common knowledge that 90% of our
daily eaten foods contains some form of
corn. To add to that, about 70% of our
precious U.S is used to grow corn.
Ever since all that corny stuff started
happening (bad pun by the way), some
of us die. How? Well, cows eat corn, but
they’re supposed to eat grass so some-
thing about that causes a disease called
Ecoli. Cows infected with this are put

A Message From Your Administra-
tor: First and foremost I would like to
welcome back A Track teachers and A
track students. I am sure you have no-
ticed that Carver Middle School has
changed. Craver has become a different
type of school from what it was. The
dawn of a new beginning. Carver stu-
dents are now in grade level houses and
belong to PLE (Personal Learning Envi-
ronments). Most of the 6th graders are
still in the Malcome X building. Most of
7th grade is in the Carver building and
the 8th grade is centered in the King
building. Each house has it’s own uni-
form as well. Our scores have gone up
in the last two years and will continue

backpack once a week, carry and learn
to use a Daily Planner/Agenda to write
down all your homework assignments
and projects)
3. GET TO KNOW THE ADULTS ON
CAMPUS! (Introduce yourself to as
many adults on campus and ask them
to do so. This year our API increased by
21 points and is now at 561. You are
now part of a transformation and a his-
torical event for Carver Middle School.
We expect the best because we give it
our best. Success is the only option.
