WARNING
Field of Application
The FS 3XXX-Series beds are suitable for disable persons,patients being cared for in the
community and in the home care. The beds just can be used indoor.
WARNING
Prior to any operation with this bed, it is important to be familiar with these instructions.
All operation and bed servicing must be carried out in accordance with these instructions!
The manufacturer shall not be liable for any damage caused by any other operation in
discrepancy with the user manual or with the bed designation is carried out at users risk
and
It is important to have the manual available to the user throughout service life of the bed!
The producer is authorised to perform the changes in this user manual that bear on
possible technical changes of the product. That is why the content of this manual can
differ in some details from the topic product design.
Transport
When transporting the bed you must always secure the boxes to avoid possible damage!
If you transport an assembled bed, we recommend you protect individual parts with
cardboard or similar to prevent the wooden finish from damage. The bed must be braked,
while being
transported!
If you move an assembled bed, always make sure that the castor brakes are released!
Safety instruction
* You must never use the bed if such failures have occurred that could injure the patient
lying on the bed, the staff or a third party, or the surrounding environment.
* The nursing staff must train the patient how to use the handset.
* The user must always check the functions and good condition of the bed before using it.
* The bed must only be used on even and solid floors.
* The bed must not be overloaded even for a short time.
* If there is a patient lying on the bed the casters must be braked (with the exception of
transporting the patient). Otherwise there is a risk of injury when the patient leaves the
bed or when someone leans against the bed.
* The height of the patient surface should be adjusted to suit the height and condition of
the patient.
* When positioning individual parts be aware of the danger of trapping the patient or
objects.
* If a lifting pole or infusion stand is installed on the bed be aware of their position when
transporting or lifting the bed.
* When moving the bed ensure it is disconnected from the mains supply to prevent
damage to the cable or wall socket.
* When repairing the bed use only original materials and spare parts. If you replace
damaged parts with non-original parts or unsuitable materials the manufacturer is not
liable for any damage caused.
* Before cleaning the mains supply cable must be disconnected from the mains.
* Follow these Instructions when cleaning or maintaining the bed. The bed must not be
cleaned in automatic washers or sprayed with water (using jet hoses, etc.).

NOTICE:
As the bed is operated electrically, the function of other sensitive devices could be
influenced by the electromagnetic emission of the bed. To eliminate these effects, the bed
is manufactured in accordance with EN 60601-2-38. To avoid any problems it is important
to operate the bed in accordance with the information contained in this manual.
Assembly
If Fs3XXX bed is delivered in boxes, it is necessary to perform several simple assembly
operations that do not require any special tools. The following paragraphs describe the
assembly operations that can be carried out by one person. People who are trained by the
service department of the manufacturer or authorised dealer must carry out the assembly.
WARNING
The assembly of the bed must be carried out in the prescribed sequence of individual
assembly operations. Even though the assembly is fairly simple, some mistakes may occur
if you do not follow these instructions. These mistakes may impair the functions of the bed
and subsequently
cause a failure of the bed and injury of people.
Folding guardrail
Unfold
Pull up the folded guardrail until the lock hoodle back to locking state and the guardrail is
fully unfolded.
Fold
Pull out the Release handle individually. The locking hook will release and the guardrail will
fall down.
Unfold
Pull up the folded guardrail until the lock hook back to locking state and the guardrail will
back to guarding state.
WARNING
When handling the guardrails do not put your fingers near the connected positions -
thus, you can avoid any entrapment between the frame and the guardrail! Do not seat
on the guardrails!
The guardrails are not designed as a barrier to prevent the patient from leaving the bed. If
there is a danger of the patient getting over the raised guardrails, the patient should be
under permanent supervision.
Bed-Board
The head and end bed-board of FS3XXX bed are detachable.
Take care when positioning individual parts . Especially, avoid entrapment of fingers or
limbs when lowering the tilting angle.
Check the connections are correct by adjusting the positions of individual parts of the
patient surface and bed height using the handset.
Do not carry out any connections, assembly operations other than those that are
described in these Instructions.
WARNING
Take care when positioning individual parts and adjusting the height of the bed. Especially,
avoid entrapment of fingers or limbs when lowering the tilting angle. When adjusting the
height of the bed, ensure the area below the mattress platform is clear of all obstructions.
Please put the bed to the lowest position to reduce the risk cause by the patient rolling
from the bed when they get or leave the bed with no help.
One person must support the backrest using the backrest handle and hold it during the
whole procedure.
1. Some one removes the pin while supporting while supporting the acuator piston, to
prevent it from falling.
2. Lower the backrest(still holding it by handle).
3. Put the pin away after any adjustment. And check the bed before use.
WARNING
During the whole procedure one person must hold the handle of the backrest to prevent a
free fall of the backrest when the pin has been released. During the unlocking procedure
take care to not squash your hand or fingers between the backrest or its handle and the
patient surface frame.
Emergency stop
The Fs3xxxZ series bed is equipped with 4 central lock castors that can be braked at the
same time in the straight direction on request.
1. To Lock the castor. Stand on the Lock Pedal as shown in following figure (3),
2. Release the castor by pressing on the Release Pedal as shown in the figure. (3).
WARNING
Make sure that the castors are always braked when the bed is not going to be moved, and
when you assemble and disassemble the bed frame.
Before moving the bed, the mains cable must always be disconnected from the mains and
the castors must be unbraked. During any bed movement it is necessary to hold the mains
cable in hand to protect it against the damage by castors. Do not run over the mains cable
with the castors. When the cable gets damaged there is a risk of an electric shock!
When crossing uneven places in rooms (thresholds) lift the bed manually to ease the load
on the small castors to relieve the stress on the castors. Careless crossing over uneven
places may result in deformations of the castor mountings!
Assembly of accessories
Lifting pole and Transfusion pole
WARNING
The material of the triangular plastic handle is subject to wear and tear. We recommend
exchanging it after three years from the delivery.
When a patient is transferred onto the bed from a wheelchair using the lifting pole, be
very careful. The bed may become unstable or metal parts near the lifting pole socket
might get damaged.
WARNING
Do not put something heavy on the table.
Cleaning and disinfection
First, disconnect the bed from the electric mains. All wooden surfaces are polished. Use a
dry dust cloth or a wet cloth to clean them. Wipe the metal construction with a wet cloth
(you can use normal detergents), the same procedure may be used with the actuators
With regard to the construction of the bed some parts of the bed will be difficult to clean.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, e.g. cleaning sand, steel wool, etc. The bed must not
be cleaned in washing machines!
Trouble Shooting
Do not attempt to repair the controllers when a failure occurs! Do not open the protective
cover of the electric controller or power supply!
1-Function
Check all adjustment (electric controller)and locking(guardrail, calfrest rachet) can be
carried out properly even in the maximum position. In the case of electric controller,
focus on the smooth movements and low noise.
Before proceeding, disconnect the bed from the mains and lock all functions on the
nursing panel (if available). To ensure against accidental movement, e.g. by a third person.
2-Castors
Check the function of castors, brakes and the tightness of the bolts of the castors. Remove
accumulated dust, stuck fibres, hair, etc.
3-Machanical joints
Check the tightness of all bolts and screws. Check for increased slackness or backlash of
individual moving parts.
4-Electric connections
Check that the connectors are plugged in the sockets of the controller. With the bed
disconnected from the mains perform a visual check of all cables all along their length,
especially the mains cable to check the insulation is not damaged.
The supply cable carries 230 V. Check its condition visually and with the bed disconnected
from the mains.
WARNING
If during the maintenance or operation of the bed you find faults that you cannot correct
contact the manufacturer or dealer immediately and do not use the bed.
The user must after a 12-month period arrange a preventive maintenance bed check to be
carried out by the manufacturer or authorised service organisation. The manufacturer
issues respective authorisation. The maintainer will provide a list of the service checks
carried out.
If any major fault or deficiency is found the bed must not be used and the manufacturer /
service contractor must be contacted immediately.
Do deal with the power supply wire pertinently or serious damage will happen. For
example: castors press the wire or cable, extruction between headboard or endboard
with movable parts and so on. The examples stated above will injury the patient or other
people.
Storing
For the trouble-free storing you should:
1. Disconnect the bed from the electric mains.
2. Disassemble accessories.
3. Pack or cover the bed and accessories to prevent the surfaces from damage.
4. To save storing space the bed can be disassembled and stored in cardboard boxes.
The storing environment should comply with the same conditions as the working
environment.
Environmental protection

does not contain dangerous substances based on cadmium, mercury, asbestos, PCB or
CFC! The operational noise-level of the product meets the requirements for the protection
of public health against undesirable noise and vibration in protected indoor building
premises. Wooden parts used in the product are not made from exotic wood such as
mahogany, jacaranda, ebony, teak, grenadil or santo, and do not come from the
Amazorian rainforest or other virgin forests.
The product contains recyclable steel, plastic and electronic components - to optimise
recycling once the operation of the product ends, separate the individual parts so that the
raw materials from which the product is made can be put to further use.
