Indeed dear brothers and sisters in Islam, mankind travel through various stages and different

conditions in life. From the tiny nutfah, to alaqah [a piece of thick-coagulated blood], to
mudh-ghah [a lump of flesh], to the soul being blown into the body. Then, one becomes newly
born, then, a young child, then grows with the ability to know what’s right and what’s wrong,
then, he/she gets married, raise a family, then, they see their children get married as well.
Then, one dies, and afterwards is brought back to life to be rewarded or punished for the
actions one performed.
The Nikah and Waleemah are forms of ‘Ebaadah as they are part of the Sunnah. The Prophet
(peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said: َ َ َ
‫أ ْو ِل ْم َول ْو ِبش ٍاة‬
“Perform a waleemah (a wedding feast for guests) even if it is with one sheep.” (Bukhari and
Muslim)
The Waleemah is the start of a newly married couple’s life. Let us perform this first stage
according to Islam, which I pray to Allah to bless the organizers and those who helped in trying
to make this wedding an Islamic one. Islam is easy as the Prophet said: َ
،‫س‬ َ ‫ب ﷺ َق‬
‫ ِإ َّن ِّالد َين ُي ْ ر‬:‫ال‬ َّ
ّ ‫الن‬
‫عن أ ِ يب هريرة ي‬
“Indeed this religion is easy” (Bukhari)
The success of a married couple’s life does not depend on how luxurious or beautiful the
wedding is. So let us make things easy because it is exactly as Allah wants for us.
َ ‫ڪ ُم ۡٱل ُع ر‬
‫ۡس‬
ُ ُ ُ َ َ ‫ُ ُ ُۡ ر‬
‫ۡس َوَل ي ِريد ِب‬ ‫ٱَّلل ِبڪم ٱلي‬
ُ ُ
ُ ‫يد ه‬‫ي ِر‬
“Allâh intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you.” (Al-
Baqarah)
Remember that life is short: so be sure to make Allah happy with you, before anyone else.
Live life as though you will die at any time; because the life of this world is temporary.
)٢٠( ‫ور‬ ‫ر‬ُ ‫ٱلد رن َي ٓا إ اَل َم َت ٰـ ُع ۡٱل ُغ‬
ُّ ُ ٰ َ َ ۡ َ َ
‫وما ٱلحيو ة‬
ِ ِ
And the life of this world is only a deceiving enjoyment. (20) (Al-Hadid)
Follow the Sunnah of our Prophet, above any tradition or customs that we have.
Fear Allah in all that you do: showing your beauty, dear sisters, taking a selfie or a photo,
which is Haram, and then posting it for the world to see may make you happy for a very short
time; but the happiness in the Hereafter is everlasting.
ُ ‫ََرُر ُ ر َ ر‬
ُ ‫ث ََل َي رح َتس‬ ً۬ َ ‫ه َ َ ر َ ه ُ َ ر‬ ‫َا‬
‫ب‬ ِ ‫ي‬ ‫ح‬ ‫ن‬ ‫م‬ِ ‫ه‬ ‫ق‬‫ز‬‫ر‬ ‫ي‬‫و‬ ) ٢ ( ‫ا‬ ‫ج‬ ‫َو َمن يت ِق ٱَّلل يجعل له ۥ مخر‬
“And whosoever fears Allâh and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out
(from every difficulty). (2) And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine.”
(At-Talaq)
We pray to Allah the Most High that we be among those who would be with their families
happy in this life and in the Hereafter.
" ‫"بارك هللا لك وبارك عليكما وجمع بينكما يف خي‬
"May Allāh bless you, send down His Blessings upon you, and unite you both upon goodness."
