As many of you know, I was born in Birmingham but
grew up in Macon, Georgia (I have dual citizenship).
My dad was a banker with the old C&S Bank, known
now as Bank of America. One of the employee perks
from this company was two tickets and a bus ride from
Macon to Athens to attend every Georgia Bulldog
home game. Though my father was a graduate of THE
Auburn University, we both loved football, so these
Neal Hughes father/son trips were a “staple” for us in the fall.

I got my first lessons in being a diplomat from Donald
Neal Hughes, Sr. Every time Georgia played Auburn in a home game, we
had to put up with a lot of “trash talk” while sitting in the very middle of

with patience over the immorality of our nation, let me remind you, “WE
WIN!” Jesus Christ rose from the grave. Soon, He’s coming back for you
and me. Beloved, I read the end of THE book so let me remind you that
Jesus Christ, Son of God, our Savior reigns supreme! Until that day when
all shall call Him King, let us be the Lord’s representatives of which
scripture speaks, “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God
were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: be
reconciled to God” (2 Corinthians 5:20).
TEN TWO Wristbands: To help you ambassadors intercede for the
harvest, we at the MBA have prepared wristbands, inviting you to pray at
10:02 am and/or 10:02 pm every day, reminding ourselves to do as the
scripture teaches from Luke 10:2, “Pray ye the Lord of the harvest, that He
may send forth laborers into the field.” Come by the office and pick up
these prayer reminders for your church.
