PS™ Bottle Cappers tighten screw and lug caps from 10 mm to 130 mm. They are easy to
use and a good choice when torque accuracy and repeatiblilty are crucial. The torque output
is easily adjusted by turning an external torque dial with your fingers. PS™ Capping
Machines run on compressed air at 90 psi; they are very quiet and comfortable to use.

PS™ capping machines are lightweight and include ergonomic features such as push to start
and automatic shut off.

How It works
PS™ capping machines are very easy to use. The operator lowers the chuck onto the cap to
be tightened. With a gentle push down (push to start-there are no levers to depress) the
machine starts and tightens the cap in a fraction of a second. When the cap reaches the pre
set torque, the machine automatically shuts off (auto-shut-off), signaling the operator to go
to the next cap.

The PST-100 Pneumatic Capper Stand can be purchased as an option. The column of the
stand is 43 inches high and the arm is 30 inches long. The arm of the stand can swivel 360
degrees allowing for a large potential work area for your capping machine. The stand also
makes for easy mounting and organizing of the capping machine, capper balancer and air
hoses.

The KBC 1000 Bench Clamp can be purchased as an option. The KBC-1000 Bench Clamp
allows you to fasten the base of the PST-100 Stand onto your work surface without screwing
the base of the stand directly into your table.

Standard Capping Chucks
Constructed of hard grade aluminum, our chucks come in 16 sizes to fit caps from 10 mm -
130 mm. Each chuck size has a corresponding urethane and white rubber liner size that fit
within it (liners are also referred to as chuck inserts). It is the urethane or white rubber liner
that grips the cap as the capping machine tightens the cap onto the container.

Capping Chucks for Irregular Caps (Deep well chucks DW)

Our standard C104, C111, C118, C122 and C127 chucks are built to handle irregular caps
with no modification, and no additional charge. Our deep-well chucks accommodate: Yorker
caps, Plastic Disc Caps, Dropper Caps, Spout Caps, Dispensing Caps, Push-Pull Caps, Pour
Spout Caps, Pull Spout Caps, Mist Spray Caps, Flip Top Caps, Over Caps, Sports Caps, and
many more.
 If you have an irregular cap for which you will require a deep-well
chuck, please notify us of this upon your order.

Liner-Less Chucks
Built to specification, these chucks are built to tighten or remove caps without the use of a
liner. Depending on the application and the physical nature of the cap, we can machine a
chuck to custom fit your cap, or build a mechanical chuck specifically for your cap.

Liners
Which Insert (liner) is right for you?™
Durometer - Is the international standard for measuring the hardness of rubber, plastic and
other non-metallic materials. A higher durometer rating indicates a harder material.

Urethane Inserts - Provide superior gripping properties

and excellent wear characteristics. Our standard urethane liner, 55 durometer, is the best
choice
for most applications. Urethane liners are also available in 70 and 80
durometer. Other duromaters are available upon request.

White Rubber Inserts - Feature a durometer rating of 83 and very high

tensile strength. A good choice when tightening caps with deep serrations,
or other abrasive applications. White rubber liners do not grip as well as
urethane liners.

Custom Molding upon request - If you have a part you would like us to mold
in urethane or vinyl, please contact us.
 The Kinex Cap-Rite™ Manual Capper is intended for manufacturers with relatively
low production runs that require a high level of certified torque accuracy. It is ideal
for shippers of hazardous materials that need to comply with DOT regulations, as
well as medical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies that need to comply
with strict torque specifications.

The Cap-Rite™ is also a good choice for manufacturers that want to continue to
manually tighten their caps but want to avoid product leakage and other quality
problems that can result from inconsistent hand tightening.

The application torque of a Cap-Rite™ Manual Capper is factory set and locked to
your specification. Available torque settings are from 5 - 50 inch.lbs. The torque
setting can be selected in 1 inch.lbs. increments.

The Cap-Rite™ Manual Capper provides outstanding torque accuracy of +/- 4%

which ensures that you will be applying the correct amount of torque to your cap
every time. A certificate of calibration is included with your purchase.

The Cap-Rite™ Manual Capper includes 2 components:

• Ergonomic Grip with Integrated Clutch - Designed to fit

comfortably in the palm of your hand.

• Custom Machined Chuck - This chuck is machined to custom fit the

features of your cap. The chuck will fit your cap in a similar way to how a

socket fits a nut.

A custom machined chuck is required to properly tighten a cap with a Cap-Rite™

Manual Capper. While standard chucks with urethane chuck inserts (liners) are
standard equipment with our powered capping machines, they cannot provide
enough gripping power to generate the torque necessary to properly seat a cap
being applied manually.

How it Works
• Place the Cap-Rite™ Manual Capper with attached custom machined

chuck onto the cap to be tightened.

• Turn the Tightening Grip by hand.

• Upon reaching the specified torque the clutch will release and reset,

which signals the operator to proceed to the next cap.

Cap-Rite™ Manual Capper will be set, and locked, to your specification. Available

torque settings are from 5 - 50 inch.lbs. The torque setting can be selected in 1

• Send Cap and Container Samples - We will need cap and container samples

to machine a chuck to custom fit your cap. Please send at least 25 caps and 3

containers to the address at the bottom of this page.
