ABSTRACT
Paragraph copy goes here. This is where you’ll introduce your subject and provide data
to support your claim. Perhaps this is where you include methodologies, etc. Just for the
sake of writing more to make this look more complete I’ll add a few more sentences.

Make full line paragraph breaks. This helps the reader move through the text easier.
This is because readers tend to jump from first sentence to first sentence when reading,
both online and offline.

THE FIRST SUB-SECTION TITLE [H2]

Maybe your idea has several sub-topics. That’s good. Break out the copy in appropriate
sub-section headers that will help organize the information and usher the reader deeper
into the text. Again if there are several paragraphs within the text, don’t be afraid to
break those out.

“One liners” can even go on their own line.

5.
Integrated kinetic energy (IKE), which is computed from the surface wind field by
integrating the 10-m-level kinetic energy per unit volume over portions of the storm
domain volume (V) containing sustained surface wind speeds (U) within specific ranges,
assuming an air density (ρ) of 1 kg m–3, (1) Here the wind speeds and volume elements
(dV) are taken from an objectively analyzed, gridded wind field over a storm-centered 8°
latitude domain having grid cells ~6 km on a side and 1 m in the vertical (centered at the
10-m level), and we ignore the contribution of turbulent wind fluctuations to the total
kinetic energy of the flow.

4.
As a measure of storm size and surge destructive potential, RMS HWind uses a
unique Integrated Kinetic Energy (IKE) metric. Our 21:00 UTC Friday HWind analysis
indicates that the IKE in Irma’s wind field has increased to approximately 125 Terajoules
(TJ). This amount is several times greater the values found in both Hurricanes Charley
and Andrew, which are two of the most recent storms to strike the Florida Peninsula with
a comparable intensity to Irma. In addition, Irma now contains slightly more IKE in its
wind field than did Hurricane Katrina on August 29, 2005 ahead of its landfall on the Gulf
Coast.

Falcon Heavy is a partially reusable heavy-lift launch vehicle designed and
manufactured by SpaceX. It is derived from the Falcon 9 vehicle and consists of a
strengthened Falcon 9 first stage as a central core with two additional first stages
as strap-on boosters.

In April 2017, the projected LEO payload for Falcon Heavy was raised from 54,400 kg
(119,900 lb) to 63,800 kg (140,700 lb). The maximum payload is achieved when the
rocket flies a fully expendable launch profile, not recovering any of the three first-stage
boosters. With just the core booster expended, and two side-boosters recovered, Musk
estimates the payload penalty to be around 10%, which would still yield over 57 tons of
lift capability to LEO.
7.
SpaceX is ahead of the rest of the space industry in manufacturing costs. CEO Elon
Musk claimed on Monday that a "fully expendable" Falcon Heavy would cost only $150
million.

Sometimes within one section you’ll have several examples. Here’s a great way of laying
those out.

The GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB /ˈmoʊæb/, commonly known as
"Mother of All Bombs") is a large-yield bomb, developed for the United States military by
Albert L. Weimorts, Jr. of the Air Force Research Laboratory.[1] At the time of development, it
was touted as the most powerful non-nuclear weapon in the American arsenal.[2] The bomb is
designed to be delivered by a C-130 Hercules, primarily the MC-130E Combat Talon
I or MC-130H Combat Talon II variants.

334 Trillum Trail; Oxford; MI; 48371 | chrisleidlein@gmail.com

The MOAB is not a penetrator weapon and is primarily an air burst ordnance intended for
soft to medium surface targets covering extended areas and targets in a contained
environment such as a deep canyon or within a cave system.

Weight 9,800 kg (21,600 lb); Length 9.1885 m (30 ft 1.75 in); Diameter 103 cm (40.5 in);
Blast yield 11 tons TNT (4.6 TJ)
Since 2003, 15 MOABs have been manufactured at the McAlester Army Ammunition
Plant in McAlester, Oklahoma.[12][13]
The Air Force has said the MOAB has a unit price of $170,000, but this is a historical unit
cost.

WHAT IF YOU HAVE VISUAL DATA?
Summarizing data in on separate pages for each key takeaway preps the information for
a better transition to a PowerPoint deck, or other presentation. It also works better for
PDFs.

Hurricane Season Statistics1
Overview
A tropical cyclone is a rotating, organized system of clouds and thunderstorms that originates over
tropical or subtropical waters and has a closed low-level circulation. Tropical cyclones rotate
counterclockwise in the Northern Hemisphere. They are classified as follows:

 Tropical Depression: A tropical cyclone with maximum sustained winds of 38 mph (33 knots)
or less.
 Tropical Storm: A tropical cyclone with maximum sustained winds of 39 to 73 mph (34 to 63
knots).
 Hurricane: A tropical cyclone with maximum sustained winds of 74 mph (64 knots) or higher.
In the western North Pacific, hurricanes are called typhoons; similar storms in the Indian
Ocean and South Pacific Ocean are called cyclones.
 Major Hurricane: A tropical cyclone with maximum sustained winds of 111 mph (96 knots) or
higher, corresponding to a Category 3, 4 or 5 on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale.

The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1st to November 30th. The Atlantic basin includes the
Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, and Gulf of Mexico
