makes me reflect on the progress of human civilization and the rapid advancement of
information and technology. With all the exponential progress that we have made in the last
century, are we really using those discoveries to help save our world in the long run? It makes
me think of what should be in the curriculum or in the current system that could help improve
education in a way that the information we learn could be holistically integrated into the real
world. I agree with the author’s idea that education must be revised in consideration of the
agenda of human survival. We must recognize the importance of the learning experience and
how education should incorporate values and ethics to help build a sustainable future for all of
us.

individuals find it increasingly challenging to read and fully comprehend long narratives. As I finished
reading the whole text, it made me realize the importance of getting an in-depth grasp of the information
that we read. With all the threats that technology poses, we must try and fight the temptations that keep us
from fully absorbing and processing complex content. Maintaining the practice of deep reading will help us
enhance our quality of life.
