The new CPIM program materials are now available for pre-order from the APICS Bookstore. The new participant
guides will begin shipping on December 14, 2009. (The new Exam Content Manual is already available.) These new
versions include improved, updated content, as well as enhanced graphics and exercises. Due to the participant guide
version changes, the Supply Chain Solutions team at Fox Valley Technical College is busy aligning our online CPIM
course offerings with the new versions of APICS participant guides to better prepare you for the certification exams.

For those students who register for Basics of Supply Chain Management, Master Planning of Resources, or Execution
and Control of Operations either version will be compatible with our online course. We do recommend the most
current version if at all possible.

For those students who register for Detailed Scheduling and Planning after December 14, you MUST have the new
version 4.0 of the participant guide to meet the needs of the improved curriculum in the online course. Should you
discover, after completing registration for your course, that the registered course doesn’t align with the proper
version of the CPIM participant guide (per the schedule above), please contact APICS at 800.444.2742 to obtain the
updated version.

The APICS CPIM Courseware Module of SMR has been entirely rewritten and the design of the course materials has
changed as well. Due to this significant upgrade, FVTC is compiling a registration waiting list for the Strategic
