connections between visual conventions, practices and viewpoints that represent their own and others’ ideas.
They identify influences of other artists on their own artworks.

For this task, you will be analysing Julie Dowling’s 1999 portrait Melbin following the four-stage critical analysis plan.
Your analysis should be written in paragraphs and answer the questions provided.
Please see attached handouts for a step-by-step instruction in writing the analysis.
