Teaching should concur with « constant search for new way,

Una buena interpretacién ,depende de muchas cosas;

The student must by all means avoid lack of precitton and
‘insecurity. Defects in rhythm and dinamict, once incorporated
and assimilated (when the student does not become aware of
them in time), can only be overcome through continual effort
and permanent attention, Therefore it ts necessery, from the
beginning, t0 avold all errors as far ax possible.
A good performance depends on many factors
1) FINGERING, which must be comectly indicated;
2) CONSCIOUS RIGHT HAND PLAYING’ (dynamics and
colour); 3) QUICK ACCOMODATION OF THE LEFT
HAND in its different positions (longitudinal or transverse) to
help place the fingers on the finger-board; 4) ABSOLUTE
SUBMISION of the mechanical play to the will of the mind,
which, in. conclusion, is to rule each movement; and
5) INTERMITTENT AND CONSTANT REST OF THE
FINGERS THAT ARE NOT PLAYING (the same could be
said for the work of the hand and arm). In this manner the
layer will be qualified to transmit, without hindrances, the
‘music to be rendered,
When the student can solve and overcome isolated problems,
when he can find the most eloquent and adequate form of
mechanism to be used, then he will start to realize the
ossibilites of improvement he has and will begin to live the
music, developing @ happy disporition to work, And this work
will alzo give him greater self-confidence when playing, as
well at the control and mastery of a true performer. Later,
constant practice, together with the observance of the
principles tet forth in thete BOOKS and added to the artistic
sensibility of each individual, will give the student the
necessary support to advance vertically and start developing
‘his own personality.
