Course Description:
This course primarily covers statistical design of experiments (DOE) as well as the
analysis and interpretation of its results. It will also tackle sampling techniques and
graphical data display and descriptions.

Class Policies:
1. There are two examinations that will be given in this course. Missing a quiz will mean a grade
of zero (0) for that particular quiz. Make-up quizzes will only be given if the student can
present an excuse letter duly signed by the college vice-dean. However, credit for the missed
quiz will only be 90% of the total score earned in the make-up exam.
2. Laboratory experiments will be given almost weekly. These experiments are to be done by
group unless otherwise specified. A computer-printed report should be submitted by each
group for each assigned exercise on or before the set deadline (which is usually the following
meeting). Each group is to be composed of at most five (5) students.
3. Honesty is a virtue expected of every student taking up this course. Cheating in any manner
during the examination and in any reports would mean a final grade of 0.0. Students should
also strictly observe deadlines set for submission of any requirements. Failure to submit on or
before the specified deadline will mean a grade of zero (0) for the particular requirement.
