TITLE: Lack of facility in Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

BACKGROUND OF THE PROBLEM

Lack of facility is a normal issue that can happen especially in any public universities. There is
maybe a lot of facility that can be identify in faculty of Mechanical Engineering of UiTM Shah Alam.
This proposal is necessary to justify why it is important to have such an effective facility in a public
university. The lack of facility may cause the public university image decreasing in the eyes of the
visitors and new students. This may also affect the current students learning process and outcome.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Usually in any private universities such as UNITEN and UTP, there are fully and complete
with facility that may help their student in their learning process. Facility such as good air
conditioning system, vertical transportation that working without fail, enough learning space and
table and most importantly the machinery such as computers, software, CNC machine, tools and
many other things. The things that need to be highlighted the most is the machinery. To produce a
good engineer in the future, the pre-grad engineer had to be prepared and enhanced with good
skills in handling the tools and machinery such as CNC machine that being important and the core to
the mass industry nowadays. In addition, the software such as CATIA and AutoCAD is necessary in
the manufacturing industry, the student need to be enhanced with such skills. The less quantity of
working computer compared to the students in the lab will cause the learning process is far from
effective.

Not to be forgotten the classroom and table that need to improve due to the act of
vandalism by the students. The air conditioning system and ventilation also need to be improved to
create a comfortable environment during lesson period.
