1. Computer Based Training and Web Based Training
Electronic learning or e-learning is an umbrella term for learning enhanced by the use
of computers. To make this happen efficiently, there are many technologies in use,
such as CBT and WBT.
This is a subset of CBTs in which the material is made accessible on the Internet by
applying Web technologies. Typically, it has text and graphics, animation, audio and
video, and needs additional bandwidth and software to work optimally. WBT is also
referred to as "online courses" and "Web-based instruction".
It presents the latest content of any topic that can be modified and is set in a framework
of self-directed and self-paced instruction. It can also be evaluated and adapted,
without a computer platform.
It is a term used by national (civil) aviation authorities (NAA) for a high technical
level of flight simulator. Such authorities include the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) in the United States and the European Aviation Safety
Agency (EASA).
There are currently four levels of full flight simulator, levels A - D, level D being
the highest standard and being eligible for zero flight time (ZFT) training of civil
pilots when converting from one airliner type to another.
The new Type 7 Full Flight Simulator will be the old Level D with enhancements
in a number of areas including motion, visual and Communications/air traffic
simulations.
A Level D/Type 7 simulator simulates all aircraft systems that are accessible
from the flight deck and are critical to training. For instance, accurate force
feedback for the pilot's flight controls is provided through a simulator system
called "control loading", and other systems such as avionics, communications
and "glass cockpit" displays are also simulated.

3. Maintenance simulator 3D
Real-time simulation for different aircraft models in a single training device. The
result is a realistic and comprehensive training experience, providing a vital interim
link between classroom ground-school and full-motion simulation.

5. Desktop Simulation
Training begins with ground school. FlightSafety’s Desktop Simulation brings the
full power of Level D simulation into the classroom, providing the first link in a
seamless training experience leading to full understanding of aircraft systems and
characteristics. Desktop Simulation delivers full flight simulator content and aircraft-
system functionality into the classroom or into self-paced training sessions.
6. SimVu
Review and analyze your simulator training from multiple points of view for an
interactive, customized debriefing. Our industry-leading technology extends your
training well beyond the simulator cockpit, adding remarkable new perspective and
value to flight simulator training. After training, you and your instructor review the
session on dual PC monitors, which display a 3-D model of the complete training
experience, showing exactly what happened inside and outside the cockpit. SimVu
makes it easy to review small irregularities that may have been missed during the
simulator flight.
