Open Heart ADVOCATES PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, home should be a place of warmth, unconditional love, safety and peace and WHEREAS, families are indispensable to a stable soclety and should be a place of support to instill esponsibility and values in the next generation and WHEREAS, tragically for many people, these are blessings that are tarnished by violence and fear. Domestic Violence i not confined to any group of people, crosses all economic, racial, gender, educational, religious and societal barriers and is sustained by society's Indifference WHEREAS, victims of domestic violence should have access to supportive services to help find ‘compassion, comfort, and healing to address the oss of privacy, dignity, security and the effects of physical, emotional, sexual and psychological abuse, WHEREAS, we dedicate ourselves to protect vulnerable members of our community by forming, important partnerships among criminal and juvenile justice agencies, healthcare providers allied professional and victim services. Now Therefore, the Craig City Council hereby proclaims tre month of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month and urge al citizens to actively support the work of Open Heart ‘Advocates to eliminate of domestic violence. ‘The foregoing Resolution was duly adopted atthe regular meetingof the Craig City Council on October 9, 2018
