 GLOBAL WARMING

Have you ever wondered why the weather is getting hotter? yeah, until this moment the
weather was very hot. Some information said that this happened due to the natural
phenomena of Global Warming.

What is global warming?

Global warming is a process of increasing the average temperature of the atmosphere, sea
and land. At this time the temperature on the earth's surface has shown an increase from
the last century period. This change should not be considered a small thing because it can
have a big impact on the earth.

 The main cause of global warming

1. The greenhouse effect, this happens because of the increasing concentration
of carbon dioxide gas and other harmful gases around the Earth's atmosphere.
2. The use of Chloro Flouro Carbon or commonly known as CFC, is often found in
cooling tools such as refrigerators and air conditioners.
 3. Hazardous gases such as carbon dioxide, carbon dioxide gas in the atmosphere
are mostly produced by factories and motorized vehicles.

 The Process of Global Warming

The process starts from the sunlight that shines on the earth, some of the heat is
absorbed by the earth and some are returned to space (atmosphere). The sun's rays
that are returned to space are trapped by gases in the atmosphere such as carbon
dioxide, sulfur dioxide, methane, water vapor and so on, which are the greenhouse
effects. Sunlight radiation in the Earth's atmosphere causes the ozone layer to
become thinner and this makes the sunlight that shines on the earth getting hotter.
The greenhouse effect also causes sunlight to return to space to be reflected to the
earth. This is what causes the earth to get warmer and longer. And that's the process
of global warming.

 Impact of Global Warming Events

Global warming has a terrible impact on life on earth. For that we must participate
in the action to anticipate the global warming rate which is getting worse. And here
are some of the effects of global warming for life on this earth:

1. Increasingly the earth is getting hotter and uncomfortable to occupy.

2. The occurrence of anomalies, daylight is getting hotter, evenings are getting
colder.
3. Increasing sea level which can cause flooding.
4. It is estimated that there are many small islands around the equator sinking.
5. The intensity of typhoons and storms increases.
6. Drought, crop failure and decreased agricultural production.
 7. Hunger, malnutrition, and various other disease outbreaks /
8. An estimated one million living species are extinct.

 Global Warming Control

None of the efforts that have been carried out or are being discussed at this time
are able to prevent Global Warming in the future. What can be done is to overcome
the various effects that arise and take various steps to avoid the ever changing
climate in the future.
Some examples of efforts that have been made to overcome the effects of global
warming have emerged, for example by planting trees, protecting the coast with a
barrier wall so that sea water does not enter settlements, relocating people on the
coast to higher areas, etc.
To slow down the increase of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, there are two
ways that can be done, namely by preventing carbon dioxide from being released
into the Earth's atmosphere by storing it in other places, and by reducing the
production or emissions of greenhouse gases.
Maybe global warming or global warming cannot be stopped, but the role of you to
protect the environment is very important to prevent extreme climate change. I
hope that after you understand about the meaning of global warming and the
various effects it causes, you can appreciate and protect the surrounding
environment in order to stay awake.
