6/18  I got a 1:1 crash course in FRISK as I was faced with a
FRISK Training  10/18
significant personnel issue shortly after beginning the job.
I was guided by my HR Director and my ASsistant
Superintendent who brought me along every step of the
way to guide me and I feel so well versed at this point that
I could teach others how to do this process effectively.
6/18  I consistently do this via Twitter, Face to Face meetings
Utilize Professional Learning Networks  10/18
with our Technology Coaches and Technology Advisory
Committee. We also lead Professional Development Boot
Camps for our teachers and admins which allows me to
stay connected and network with them.
5/18  This has been involved and I am not totally there yet. My
Learning the 16 Competencies  10/18
main focus stayed on the three I chose and I feel I have
done a great job at progressing in all three areas.

Action Plan
Identify three or more actions you will take to develop this competency. Example: develop and deliver (X) presentations over (X) months
and assess the result using the Microsoft Proficiency Level Rubric.

honed in on this well and do to better time management
in other areas, this has allowed me this time to meet with
these individuals 1:1.
10/18  I have attended several conferences this year including
Ongoing professional development  10/18
Annual CUE, CISC, ISTE, T3, Gold Coast CUE, Google
Admin training, local EdCamps and Boot Camps specific
to our teachers and admins in our district. I plan to
continue to expand these horizons in the future.

7/18  This was a great book and really put the concept of time into
Read When by Daniel Pink  7/18
perspective for me. It taught me that we aren’t all on the
same “clock” and that’s ok. We all have different strengths
at different times of the day and we should celebrate that. It
actually helped me to understand my daughter much better
and how she learns, so if I can relate to this book on that
level, I feel confident I can use this information to help other
students in my district to be the best version of themselves.
7/18  Use Twitter, Instagram and Facebook frequently. Have
Utilize Professional Learning Networks  10/18
connected with many online which has lead to in person
meetings and collaborations such as Dr. Sonny Magana (T3),
and Trevor Mackenzie (Dive Into Inquiry)
2/18  After reading this book, I have a more clear picture in
Read The New One Minute Manager by  3/18
managing my time more efficiently as well as my staff in
Ken Blanchard
order to make the most of what time we have. The big ideas
in this book are 1 Min Goals, 1 Min Praisings and 1 Min
Redirects and how using these tools help us all manage out
time better.

3/18  I’ve found that Google Keep and my Calendar have been

better for me than the Things App
Calendar
10/18  I constantly follow up. I remind myself to follow up and it
Follow Up meetings  10/18
has actually become a regular practice.
10/18  I have become very good at this. When something is
Delegate tasks  10/18
tasked to me or my department now, I immediately think
about who would be good at delegating that task to and
how i can tap into that person’s strengths. Doing this has
not only allowed for me to free up some of my time, but it
has also empowered my team in that they know I trust
their judgement and they are excited to tackle the project
and do progress check ins

5/18  Have been following this on their website, but that is as
Future Ready Resources/Workshops  7/18
far as I got in this endeavor. My hope is to revisit it after
I finish the program.
Haven’t gotten to this one yet, but will after I finish the

program.
10/18  I do these at every single department meeting. My team
Team Building Activities  10/18
actually really loves it and has commented on the new
format. They appreciate the opportunity to talk to and
learn from one another. They feel they have achieved
great growth through this practice.
2/18  This book was amazing and I encouraged our whole
Read The Innovator’s Mindset by George  3/18
Admin team to read it. My Assistant Superintendent
Couros
purchased it for all of cabinet and Directors and we all
read it at my recommendation. George’s ideas are mind
blowing yet make complete sense at the same time. I
have seen him speak several times (CUE and CISC) and
he is very thought provoking and is helping to make this
huge shift in the teaching and learning process. My
hope is to do more with Innovator’s Mindset with my
district in the future.

8/18  I did this every quarter. I would meet with them to find
1:1 Meetings with Principals  4/18
out what their need are, how our department can better
serve them and just listen to their desires and concerns.
I have great rapport with my Principal team and I will
continue to do this on a quarterly basis to keep
consistency and visibility at the sites.

9/18  We continue to reiterate the district’s vision and
Technology Advisory Committee  10/18
purpose at these meetings. We encourage all to attend
and we are getting a greater number of attendees.
People want to see what it’s all about and we have had
some very thought provoking discussions. This group
understands and supports the vision and purpose and
is sharing it at their sites with others.
9/18  I attend these more often and I am asking to present
Board Meetings  10/18
more frequently so that the Board is aware of the great
things our department is doing on behalf of students
and teachers.
8/18  I have spent much time meeting with Ed Tech
Strategic Planning Meetings focused on  10/18
Coordinator, Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent,
Chromebook Implementation
and Site Techs developing a 5 year plan to roll out a 1:1
device initiative.
3/18  I use this frequently with staff and they must come
Using Google Classroom with LSS Staff  10/18
prepared to share at every department meeting.

6/18  I did this in the spring and plan to revisit those goals
Goal Setting with LSS Staff  10/18
and set new goals for 18-19. I am currently working to
set up these 1:1 meetings. At our last department
meeting, team was asked to look back at their previous
goals (in Classroom) begin thinking about this year’s
goals and to revise last year’s goals. They plan to be
ready to share with me via Google Classroom at the
end of October. I will then set up 1:1 meetings with each
of them for November/December
