Event Description:
Startup Workshop is a 3 day event which aims to provide encouragement and opportunities to
those who are willing to share their innovative ideas related to infrastructural development in
order to solve the socioeconomic hurdles faced in our society. Contestants are provided an idea
pitching workshop to help them learn about the presentation skills, contents to be included in a
startup pitch, how to manage the time and how to be persuasive on their startup idea. The
teams then will present their ideas in front of the panel of judges for the main event. The
participants will be given a workspace with internet connection for the duration of the event. The
participants will also be provided with the meal facility. The panel of judges will decide the
winner based on the workability, creativity, innovation and other critical factors.

● To create an environment of startups among university students.
● To build up networking between industry experts and engineers in our university.
● To develop entrepreneurship, presentation, public speaking, marketing skills of the
participants.

Promotion Strategy:
1. We will visit each class in KU and inform students about the competition and its benefits.
Also, we will have few pre workshops on certain weeks.
2. We will have a short workshop to help the participants few weeks before the event by
creating an event on facebook as well as posting it on several facebook groups like IT
entrepreneurs of Nepal, a CSIT association of Nepal, and similar others.
3. We will have our promotion active participation in social media Facebook, Twitter.
4. We will create promotion video and infographic design for promotion.
5. Colleges will be visited and students will be encouraged to participate in this competition.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Each team should consist of at least 3 and at most 4 members. (The team can also be
formed in the competition)
2. Participants can be from any department. (Participants from various fields are encouraged to
participate)
3. Each team should have their own laptops. No computer shall be provided by the organizing
committee.
4. Participants should be able to work on team and interact with each other.
