Skills Analysis
The following form will help you to understand the skills you possess and any skill gaps you may
have.

Working effectively with others

(For example, on a group project or with children).
Key words: approachability, team work, co-operation, rapport, adaptability
This relates to my future career role, i will need to work efficevly with other staff
and managers in order to compleyte my tasks. This is a strength for me as i am
very good with communcation and team working skills which means this skill i
have already got. As a marketing asistant/director i will have to work with others
like the people of the public collectivng surveys etc. This make me more
apporachable and on the other hand adabtable as it shows i can fit in any
environment and communicate with staff fitting in right.

Communication
(For example, expressing your ideas, explaining something complicated)
Key words: listening, enthusiasm, clarity, pertinence, confidence
This links to my first point working effectivley with others, this enables me to
communicate and allows me to be confident. i am very confident and can speak
oput loud infront of others without getting nervous which will benefit me in my
future as i can express my ideas to the group, explaing and letting people
understand the terms i am trying to state and listing to other people or in university
i will have to listen to the lecturer.

Judgement and decision making

(For example, choosing which assignment to do, which information to include in a project)

Judegement and descion making like solving problems and working with ypur own
ideas and thoughts, like foir exampl;e chosing which assingments to complete first
to make sure you meet the deadline foir all of them. also this will benefit me in my
chosen career as all this market research and business management i will need to
make alot of desions and judgement like checking if a website is giving true in
formtation etc.
Persuading and influencing
(For example, persuading someone to come to a party or accepting your argument)
Key words: communication, leadership, negotiation, charisma, motivation, determination,
forcefulness, vision, empathy
Persuading and influencing other staff memebers to work right, complete the tasks
in the way they have to be completed and when taking leadership this skill is very
important as you will have to teach others how to do the job right. As a marketing
director i will have to market products, persuade others and influence the people of
the public in making them buy the product. this is one oif the keyt skills which i will
need in order to be succesful at my job.
Ability to solve problems
(For example, maths assignments, coping when team members don't pull their weight)
Key words: critical thinking, analysis, lateral thinking, creativity)
Ability to solve problems like if a customer is not happy with the way he has been
delt with or if you have seen another employee stealing this will allow you to think
quickly on the spot without hesitating. Critical thinking and lateral thinking which
also links to creativity is crutial at solving problems, this will enable the person to
have a more undertsnaidn gof the problem and be able to overcome it. Like if a
customer is very angry then if the customer could think quickly then the problem
would be solved faster and the customer would not get more angry and be waiting
around. As a marketing director i would have to come across alot of problems like
if the staff which i am leading are not doing their job proper i would have to
overcome this and tell them without making me seem harsh also if the budget
goes wrong with the advertsing then i will have to do critical thinking to find a
solution.
Time Management
(For example, ensuring your assignments are done on time)
Time Management is very imporatant in every day life like in collage you have to
attend the class on time or even at a job. By having time management skills it
makes a person way more professional and more likely to suceed; for example is
a student has good time keeping skills then this will allow them to complete their
assingments on time and allow them to have extra time completing other
assingments aswell as their life outside of collage. It also allows a person to be
more prepared like if your going to an interview you would prepare before hand of
the timing of the bus and which route and how long it will take to get you to get
there on time before the interview starts. As a marketing director/manager i would
have to make sure i complete all my set tasks on time and allow extra time at the
end just incase any problems occur so it dosent have a knock on effect on the
other departments.
Use of IT
(For example, word processing a report, using a specialist package to solve a maths problem)
Use of IT equipment is very useful for any job, while writing an email to a
assingment in collage it all links back to the use; it is very beificial to have this skill
as it is a very common skill everyone has adapted everyday of their lifes without
realising it. Like in collage if i need to do reserach i will have to be able to use the
laptop and use google to find the soucres i need with the valid info. As a marketing
manager i would have to use alot of IT to contact other staff, complete my jobs as
a marekting which is mainly all done on IT like social media advertising and
adverts, posters etc.
Achieving your goals
(For example, getting enough votes to be elected to a role in society)
Key words: determination, commitment, will-power, resolution, stamina, ambition, energy,
resilience
Achieving Goals is what makes a person succesful, every succesful man once set
themseleves goals to get to where they are and still sset them selves goals. Like
for example Khabib a great UFC fighter 27-0 set himself a goal which made him
commit to it, dedicate his lifestyle willpower and resilience; his goal was to beat
conner mcgreger and he achived it and won the belt. As a marketinf
manager/director you need to setyourself goals and be able to achieve them, you
always have to remind yourelfs of the goals and use yur stamina to never give up
and be determine that your going to meet them.
Specialist subject knowledge
The subjects which i feel as though im good in are Business, Maths and English.
this is due to my GCSE grades and how i enjoy maths.
In which skills can you offer plenty of examples where you are using the skill?
English i use everyday as a normal skill like if im writing an email i need English
skills to form the email in a professinal manner and also maths skills like at my
workplace i have to total up the prices for customers.
In which skills do you have no evidence?
Science as i do not enoy or understand any of it.
