Editorial: Tax Reform; A Gain or Pain:

TRAIN LAW EFFECTS of the FILIPINO CITIZEN

We have always question into our minds where are going new all of the taxes of Filipino
citizens?
I think all of the takes are constructive to all people needing like are working in economy.
Nowadays must Filipino Citizen view the passage and implementation of the Tax reform for
Acceleration and Inclusion Law in Negative light a recent study by research showed.

According to the social media sentiments read by research analytics group say that the
Train Law is more of a burden to the Filipino’s, it is anti-poor and most citizen are generally
dismayed by the overall `impact of the Law; The Train Law was signed into Law by Mr.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, effectively lowering the personal income tax rates and expanding
the value added tax. On the other hand, Train Law is a no for most of the online public is they
claim that is only beneficial to Government Officials while it is unfair to minimum wage earners.
In separate statement. The Department of Finance said lower personal income tax rates would
give Filipino consumers a combined 10 billion peso to spend more each month. I disagree, so
that means to say people are going to have 10 billion pesos monthly to spend. In effect those
with taxable annual income, would be able to take home a cash bonanza equivalent to substantial
one-month pay per year. In the same statement the Department of Finance (DOF), it has yet to
collage on the net amount of additional revenues raised from the measures put in place by the
Train Law.

The study revealed that majority of Filipinos is worried about the burden that the newly imposed
tax plan will bring into the country especially for the working student as seen in their social
media responses, Filipinos are now vigilant more than ever seeing the country grow and the
online universe became the top tool in expressing their thoughts and feelings. Its noted, however,
that a percentage of Filipinos remained positive that the tax reform could be beneficial to the
countries progress and believe that the Train Law will discipline or ordinary Filipino.
