After more than a decade of the first movie “An Inconvenient Truth” that
presented by Al Gore on 2006, He came up with a new movie called “An
Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power”. He said that after 10 years, the effects of
global warming getting more serious. He travels around the world training army of
climate champions that called “Climate Leadership Training” in places such as
Houston, Miami, and Shenzhen. He keeps raising people’s awareness about climate
change and its policy. The cameras follow him behind the scenes-in every moment,
private or when he went public, he also believes that the climate change effects can
be overcome with human ingenuity and passion. At first, He stating that 2016 is the
hottest year and the numerous of hot days are a lot more than cold days. Al Gore
went to Swiss and saw some proof provided by Swiss Climate Camp about the
amount of ice that melted in a range of time. He went to Miami, Florida where the
sea level rising and causing flood. The top 10 cities at risk for sea level rising by
2070 are Kolkata, Mumbai, Dhaka, Guangzhou, Ho Chi Minh, Shanghai, Bangkok,
Rangoon, Miami, and Hai Phong. He said back days; there was a plan to launch a
satellite named DSCVR, a solar storm early warning system, but while Bush as the
president of US, they cancelled it and the administrations took all of climate
instruments on satellite and replaced it with sandbags and Al Gore thinks it means
losing opportunity to prevent the climate change. Al Gore stated some biggest
sources of greenhouse gasses are from industrial processes, industrial agriculture,
coal plants, crop and forest burning, fertilization, air and land transport, also oil
production. The heatwaves already bring disaster to some countries such as India,
Thailand, and Pakistan. The spread of tropical diseases such as West Nile Virus,
Zika Virus, Chikungunya, Dengue Fever, Chagas Diseases, and Rift Valley Fever
getting wider to many places. The heat energy also absorbed oceans, on 2006 there
was an animation about floods will go through the New York City, it happened and
causing damage. The cycles of typhoon also increasing, example were in
Philippines, Spain, Chile and the newest one was in Southeast Louisiana. There also
a documentary about Al Gore attending the UN Climate Conference, COP21 Paris
on 30 November 2015 until 12 December 2015. He said they were attempting to
further mobilize people in every nation to support even more ambitious outcomes in
