October 15, 2018
Mayor Alex Morse
Holyoke City Hall, Room 1
536 Dwight Street
Holyoke, MA 01040
Dear Mayor Morse,
Please accept this communication as my formal letter of resignation, effective November 16th,
2018.
“These last five years serving you and the City of Holyoke have been some of the most rewarding
of my life. in your first inaugural address you stated, “We will not achieve every goal we desire
in just one election or even one mayoral term, But | have no doubt that we will meet these
challenges —boldly, fearlessly, and with the proud, fighting spirit that defines our people.”
Thank you for the opportunity to come to City Hall every day and help meet the challenge of
ensuring that the goals you have set over the past seven years have become a reality. Whether
it was working on improving outcomes for Holyoke’s youth, increasing public safety, fostering
long-term economic growth, or so many other important issues, | am proud of the part you
allowed me to play in your administration
Vl will certainly miss working alongside you, Nilka, and Andres. The three of you have become
like family to me and | will always cherish our relationship. | will also miss working with all the
dedicated department heads and city staff, who come to work with the goal of maintaining 2
great quality of life for every Holyoker. However, | leave knowing that, under your leadership,
the city will continue to thrive and that all the hard-working members of your administration
will continue to rise to the challenges still ahead. As | transition into my new position, ! look
forward to continuing to serve the city in a new way. Please know you can always call on me as
you see fit.
Sincerely,
Chief-of Staff.
