OMpassion C.I.C (July 2014-present date)

Company Director, Research Scientist
OMpassion is a small Community Interest Company meeting the needs of the local community and wider
society, through three key services; education; research; and development.

Education
OMpassion CIC deliver free workshops to mental health service-users, healthcare staff and volunteers
within the mental health sector, as well as the general public. Workshops for individuals are a stimulating
blend between science and contemplative philosophy. Workshops for healthcare staff deliver enriching
insights into the true nature and understanding of compassion, providing a more thorough grounding to the
Department of Health’s 6C’s (Compassion in Practice) for their application in the workplace. Clients include
INVOLVE, Surrey & Hampshire Borders NHS Trust, Central Surrey Health, Look Ahead Housing Association,
and various residential nursing homes across Berkshire and Surrey.

Our social media presence meets the needs of younger mental health services users, through thought
provoking, sometimes surrealistic or profound media, exploring the modern world and our engagement
with it (OMpassion Twitter @ompassion_cic).

Research
Our research department is made up of one research scientist, and an international ethics committee of
eight academic professionals. This department facilitates collaboration on sound scientific projects within
the field of Consciousness Studies and Transpersonal Psychology.

Development
We work with the development of both people and businesses in the local community. We inform,
modernise and grow local companies from branding to delivery in tandem with community needs. We work
with individual, and groups of, staff members to develop intuitive, ethically-grounded leadership in small,
struggling and growing enterprises. Clients include The Spice Lounge, Bracknell Plumbing & Heating,
Shahidas, Copiae, various marketing companies and vocational students.
