You didn't mount an ISO to it, and it can't boot with out one, you can mount one in
settings/Drives/ in the VCD drive which takes isos.

wanna spend money on Windows or MAC DVDs then you can download an ISO image of the OS
from internet. it wont cost you money

The new version now in Feb 2016 has Drag and Drop from Host to Virtual Machine and the Guest
Additions is more guided. VBox is a lifesaver.

Thanks for posting this video. But honestly it would have been lot better if you would have
shown the process of mounting the CD drive of your original machine to the virtual machine
much earlier on the video, I mean just after creating the virtual machine and before installing
Windows 7 Ultimate on your virtual machine(as you installed Windows 7 Ultimate on the virtual
machine from the Windows 7 DVD). Also thanks for explanation of sharing folders between the
original and virtual machine. But I guess you are using Windows 7 Ultimate both in original
computer and virtual machine, it would have been lot better if you would have shown the
networking between original computer and virtual machine and also would have shown if the
Remote Desktop Connection facilities are working between the original computer and virtual
machine.

If you want to share files or printers etc Via network then you have to create Wide Area Network

Yeah found out how to fix it. You have to download the file of the IOS from the company page.
Save it to anywhere on your CPU that you will remember. When it says host D drive at the
beginning hit the file folder next to that go to that OS file select it and it will install the OS

I have a question lets say i opened a Program that countians viruses on my virualbox will this

No. That's why virtual machine is used for. If any thing happened in virtual machine will not
affect your main pc. Whether its virus or something else.
And virtualbox is a software in which you install virtual machine.
Lets say you want to give a try something new like..... Android, Linux,Mac or any operating
systems you want. And you want to do it without affecting your main PC. For example me....
I currently have windows7 installed in my main pc. But i have 3 more operating systems in my pc.
And those are installed as virtual machine inside virtualbox. I use virtual machines to make
tutorials for my viewers. If something goes wrong during making videos my main pc still remains
safe.
So, that's it. I hope i made you understand

Not related I know, but I just get annoyed with ads especially with a how-to or set-up video that
requires step by step detailed following....I am just listening to something important with the
installation setup and BAM...shitty ad. Everything on hold while I deal with the ad
I got this awesome browser extension for youtube called: "Enhancer for Youtube", Its free and
can remove ads, take off autoplay next video, select from loads of themes and proper customize
youtube with a lot of different features and settings. It is a MUST if you use Youtube a lot.
I am using it on Linux (Firefox Browser) and Windows (Edge browser) and they both work
amazingly. I now don't have to stop my important step by step computer installation to faff
around with an unwanted advert that I am honestly never going to buy. Winge complete. Have a
nice day :)

This is a great tutorial! I'm 13, and this is a LOT clearer than the instruction manual! I was
thinking of installing Vista and 95, but the videos on that were missing the locations of
download, so I just got confused because some sources had like 13 floppies, while others just
one DVD. If you have, can you give me a link to one of your videos about that? If you haven't,
could you give m a link to a video you deem worthy of being a proper tutorial (especially for a
kid) or make your own tutorial on the installation of 95 or Vista?Thanks in advance!

and one more thing, you did not talk about the internet connection in vitualbox. should do some
settings for that at very first steps. otherwise can not see the shared folders from host system.

I notice you couldn't attach USB drive to your virtual machine. Go figure. I am using version
5.1.14 and have the same issue. Which is the reason I am watching this video. My take on Virtual
box is that its. Garbage. I think I will go back with VMware. It is much better and user friendly.
The problem with Virtual box is that its open source and its garbage because anyone can update
the code and so that allows morons to alter it which screws it up.

I have a .exe program that runs on 32 bit Windows XP . And I have a Windows 8 on my PC .
Installed the XP by VM step by step like you said , but it doesn't open this specific .exe file . It
gives an error . Says that 16 bit software can't run on this machine . Although I just opened it on
another XP pc !

Hi i would like to know soon as you install the vitual box and install windows 7 in my computer
running windows xp is that possible to do it through virtual box. Second question how you
switch from your main windows xp screen into windows 7 which i will install through virtual box.
And last question when yoo boot or start your computer which windows will be displayed
primarly and if windows xp will start how to switch into windows 7 which i have installed
through virtual box. In one word where is the virtual machine located so you can have access to
it.

machine is stored in documents folder usualy

1. Yes you can install Windows 7 as long as your computer has the harware to run it. 2.&3. Your
conputer will boot to XP like notmal. Once in XP you will click on the Virtual Box icon, just like
you would click on any other program to start it. VB will come up in a window with a list of OS
that you installed on VB, in your case W7. Click on W7 in VB and it will run in the VB window
which you can maximize to fill the screen if you like. To switch to XP just minimize VB or click on
the XP desktop outside the VB window.

I'm trying to run linux 64 bit on Virtualbox but I got this message: "This kernel requires an x86-64
CPU, but only detected an i686 CPU. Unable to boot - please use a kernel appropriate for your

The choice doesn't matter very much as the only thing that does is set the presets like a floppy
disk drive, and sets the recommended size for the ram and hard drive. So as long you know what
version you have and you set it up correctly, you're fine.

Never use Full Dupplex for Folder and Clipboard Sharing !
Setup for Host:

if you share a folder or drive to your virtual machine. it wont take space of your virtual machine.
lets say i have installed a virtual machine with 20 gb in size. and i want to share a drive of my
original computer with more than 500gb in size. i can share it easily.
but if you copy something from 500gb and paste it on your 20gb virtual machine. it will take
space from 20gb.

you will get it less than 3$. No matter what kind of software you are buying. Lets say you are
looking for office package. You get it in the price i mentioned besides you will get some extra
softwares for free. Such as photoshop, Premier, and so on,
In Afghanistan we dont have to pay big money for components of computer. I mean software.
You can get it all under 5$. From office products video editing software everything needed

Selam Abdurahman i asked you again something else but you didn't answered. The question is i
have downloaded virtual box,and extension and save it in Cd-R the reason why i saved or burned
them on CD is because in school i want to install virtual box in every PC. You may asked why i
have saved in CD and i didn't download directly from pc . the reason is simple we don't have
internet access we have only in one computer. The question is can i install virtual box from Cd in
every computer.there are 38:computers total they have installed Windows XP and since this is
school for computer learning i need to install windows 7 through virtual box. Please
Abdurahman answer me in this question can i install virtual box from the CD-DVD-USB if yes
than is it the same procedure as you described in your amazing video. If not than please help me
and advice me what should i do to complete this task. Please answer as soon as possible and

@Gzim Siriniqi walaikum salam dear brother. sorry for being late. yes you can install any
windows from CD-ROM. just buy or burn a windows 7 DVD and put it into your CD rom and you
dont have to save virtualbox on cd. just save it anywhere you want. for example you can save it
on D: or E: drive or any local drive you want. after that copy it into a USB flash and paste it into
the pc you want

@Tech Zaada you didn't understood my question. I want to install virtual box in other PC's in
school, unfortunately they don't have internet access to download VB directly from Oracle. I
tried to save in Cd but it won't let me than i saved in my pc my documents and when i burned
into CD next day when i inserted the CD and tried to run Virtual Box I couldn't because it was in
read only mode saved the VB into CD. i don't know why and again i did same thing but again VB
when burned in CD it's in read mode only. I hope you can help me what to do maybe if i buy a
USB it will work but i have to be sure because USB drive cost prerty much 40$ in my country
Kosovo. So please help me out brother. Selam
