POLITICAL SCIENCE – III SYNOPSIS

A CRITICAL STUDY ON US-IRAQ RELATIONS

1. Prior to World War II, the involvement of American government in Iraq was very
limited. The American nation recognized the state of Iraq only on January 9, 1930
when the Anglo-American-Iraqi Convention was signed by the U.S. Ambassador
Charles G .Dawes.

2. Today, the United States and the Republic of Iraq both view themselves as key
accomplices, given the American political and military contribution after the attack of
Iraq and their common, profound established relationship that took after. The United
States gives the Iraqi security powers a great many dollars of military guide and
training.

3. This research paper will discuss all those events of historical importance and
diplomatic relations which took place through these years involving United States of
America and Iraq and will try to establish an idea about the future of US-Iraq relation

4. Apart from debating the future of US-Iraq relation, the paper will try to bring not only
the American and world’s perspective on the US-Iraq relations, but also the Iraqi
perspectives on the US-Iraq relations into light.
