Chapter 1 Introduction 1
This Quick Start Guide (QSG) provides instructions on how to configure a Mitsubishi E700 Series Variable
Frequency Drive (VFD) to communicate with the FR-A7N-ETH or FR-A7N-XLT option module.
The objective of this QSG is to assist the users to quickly setup the FR-E700 VFD so that it can communicate
with the plug in gateway communications option. This QSG contains the necessary configuration information for
parameters settings and recommended hardware.
This QSG does not discuss configuration or connection to the network master.

2.1 Network Option card

2.2 Cables
The E700-NET-CBL cable easily connects the network option card to the RJ45 connector of the VFD

E700-NET-CBL Desktop/Magnetic Antenna Antenna Extension Cable

(option for FR-A7N-WiE) (option for FR-A7N-WiE)

2.3 VFD Cover

A deeper cover is required when using any of these option cards
