Will You Pray for Me? Prayer Partners for the First Reconciliation Class Needed!
Stop by the hospitality area today after mass and take one of the "Lost Sheep" off of the
display board. Each sheep will have the name of a student preparing for First
Reconciliation on Saturday, Dec. 11th Take home the sheep and pray for this student and
his/her family as they prepare to encounter God's unconditional love and mercy. That's it!
You do not need to do anything special, just tap into the power of prayer for these young men and
women!

Andy was adopted from the Humane Society after being rescued off the streets of the Valley in the July
heat. He had spent 10 days in the doggy hospital with infections and injuries, and when his mom Jane
found him, he was shaved, scabbed and scarred. The vet told mom that “he needed you and you needed
him” and she says that is true every day. Now Andy is a beautiful, confident dog. He’s an adult poodle
mix of indeterminate age and ancestry. He loves everyone, even cats! Strangers stop mom and Andy all
the time to say how beautiful he is and mom always has the same response…”He has a sweet sweet spir-
it!”
Pete, Petey, Dude, Little Booger...people will call me anything!? I am a 17 year old Himala-
yan Siamese cat. I was adopted when I was three months old in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. My
dad moved us to Arizona in 2000. I got to go on a three day car ride! We even got to stay
in different motels along the way! Oh how I love car rides and motel rooms! What an ad-
venture! Being an old man kitty isn’t easy. These days I have to take my meds twice a day
but I still get to cuddle on my Dad’s lap, so it’s all worth it! Thanks Dad!
The winning pets above get the honor of honorary first blessings
at the St. Francis Festival and use of their pictures and stories in
this and next years event promotions!

Healing Mass
Nov. 13, Saturday, 11am
Feb. 12, Saturday, 11am
All are welcome! The Healing Mass is open to all who hope in the physical, mental, emotional, and
spiritual healing our God offers to us. Join us as we pray for each other and with each other, and see the
many ways God can heal each one of us. At a Healing Mass, we simply bring our needs and infirmities to
the Lord through the Eucharist.
"Lord, I am not worthy to receive you but only say the word and I shall be healed."
The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will also be available following the mass.
"Is anyone sick among you? He should call for the priests of the Church and have them pray
Over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord and the prayer of faith will save the
sick person and will raise him up." (James 5:15)
Who needs God's Healing?
Someone who is sick … or someone who has been physically injured … someone in a difficult
relationship or going through a divorce … someone who is grieving the loss of a loved one … someone
who is fighting an addiction … someone who is depressed … someone struggling with anger or anxiety
… someone who is finding life too difficult … someone feeling abandoned … someone who has lost their
faith. The truth is that all of us at some point in our lives need the healing power of God.
Bring your faith (and your doubt) and come and join one another in prayer.
