Operations and Maintenance Manager, Upstream Oil and Gas

Key Qualifications for this Position include:

 A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (or eqv) from an accredited university with minimum
fifteen years (15) experience in Oil and Gas Production Operations Managerial Experience with an
Oil and Gas Production Company
 Experience in leading teams of Production Operators
 Experience in Upstream Oil and Gas Processing Installation a must
 Ability to work in multicultural environment
 Strong knowledge with relevant codes, HSE standards and Operations Procedures
 Demonstrated interpersonal/team building skills
 Deep knowledge in caring out safe job analysis and Risk Assessments
 Strong written and Oral English Communication

Job Description

 To lead and manage and control all production operations on for Upstream Oil and Gas Facilities
(Gas Dehydration, LPG Extraction, Compressor Stations, GOSP Units, Desalters, Heaters etc)
ensuring production and HSE targets are met and plant operates efficiently, economically and
safely in compliance with HSE policy and objectives and achieving the Plant KPIs.
 Manage & ensure safe and efficient production operations
 Lead development, approve and ensure proper and effective implementation of detailed plans
and work program, procedures and standing instructions to ensure that all Production operations
from the receipt of crude oil/gas from the fields to its loading on tankers for export and export
 Lead & manage work plans to ensure plant shutdowns are optimized and planned activities
objectives are achieved. Ensure projects executed parties especially Brownfield projects,
identified integrity projects are executed safely and minimize or eliminate their impact on existing
plant operation
 Ensure Plant facilities and equipment are integral and safe to operate and inspection reports
findings and proposed actions/recommendations are executed in time or mitigation methods are
in place
 Lead & manage emergencies and process disturbances to minimize consequences on Personnel
Safety, Environment asserts and on production as per company emergency response procedure.
Act as advisor and assist HSE Manager in decision making for Plant related issues.
 Responsible for manpower competency of all operating personnel and ensure department
personnel are trained and competent for taking responsibility of their position and operate plant
facilities. Prepare for full organizational readiness of the expanded operation
 Upgrade and procure reliable and standardized laboratory testing facilities and ensure all tests
are carried out as per national and international recognized standards
 Monitor plant operation performance, review, test equipment and prepare it for operation and
ensure reported data are accurate and within design operating range. Control all process related
discharges from Plant

 Reviews and approve operation procedures, making recommendations for more efficient and
safer operation, and prepare procedures for special tasks using modern techniques like Hazop,
Hazid, Risk Assessment and ensure that all risks are lowered ALARP limits
 Oversee setting up CMMS software for inventory management and planning of maintenance
activities
 Daily, Weekly and Monthly Production Reports

 Overall responsibility to deliver project on site and in time and within the allotted budget
 Manage client on daily basis and serve as focal point for O&M related site communications
 Manage O&M team
