WRC- Women’s Resource Center

Introduction

I am very glad that I got a privilege to be a part of WRC (Women’s Resource Center) and

to work as a House Manager. The mission statement of WRC is to provide high quality care and

support along with education and counselling session to women, men, children and transgender

community people who are the victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault. As a house

manager, my work is to provide support to our clients in their residential needs and to help them

to take wise decisions for their future by providing guidance and discussing about consequences

of their decisions. WRC stands for rebuilding lives of victims and their children. We as a WRC

team-members always help our clients to rebuild their confidence and dignity. WRC encourages

our clients to move on from their past experiences, but learn from that experience; hence, they do

not have to face same kind to incidence in the future. In counselling session, we listen about

every aspect of our clients’ story and then correct them if needed. By providing this kind of

support WRC help their clients to make difference in their lives and help them to choose best

options for their upcoming future (Women's resource center, 2011).

very bad manner; hence, society must not accept it and the society should be obliged to

take the responsibility of these crimes and must look for the ways to stop these crimes.

 Every individual has their rights to live in a peaceful environment with respect and

dignity; even if they are the victims of domestic violence or sexual assault.

 Victims must be empowered to enhance their lives by making right and best choices for

their future (Women's resource center, 2011).
