Romp and stomp
The Romp N Stomp is intended to be great soccer and foster healthy competition with all our kids.
Trophies are awarded for winning teams in the U9, U10 and U12 brackets and are placed in area schools for the year.
While competitive, the goal of this is FUN FOR ALL.
U12B - championship will be determined by winner of the 'finals'.
U12G - championship will be awarded to winner in head to head play (see 3B below, if tied at the end of regulation)
Finals teams are selected based upon overall record. Tie breakers as follows:
Tie - breakers (ranked in order - the first team "win" of a tie breaker moves on)
1. Team with a win in head-to-head games has the better record. If three or more teams are tied, this may not be applicable.
2. Bonus points (Win = 3 points, Tie = 1 point, Loss = 0 points)+ additional Bonus Points awarded as follows:
Winning teams can earn up to 3 bonus points per game based on goal differential (no advantage to running up the score).
Examples: A win of 10-0 = 3+3 BPs; a win of 2-1 = 3+1 BPs. BPs only come into play for tiebreaker purposes.
3A. 5 v 5 Shoot out (Continue beyond with 1 shooter at a time until one team is wins after equal number of shots
- no shooter can repeat until all players have shot)
3B. Finals only: 2 x 5 minute overtimes - no golden goal; shootouts if tied after overtimes (see 3A)
Teams failing to show at the proper field within 15 minutes of scheduled start time forfeit unless opposing coach or Scoring official
grants additional time (A scoring official may only grant time if the delay is due to a Coach active in a previously scheduled game).
Because game times are subject to change, the official start time is determined at the Scorer's table.
If forfeiture occurs during a preliminary round, the score will be considered 1-0 for purposes of tie breakers.
ALL COACHES MUST CHECK IN AT SCORERS TABLE PRIOR TO THE START OF SEMIFINALS/FINALS
If for semifinals/finals a team is not present, the next seeded team will play as an alternate but must be present within 15 minutes
of planned start; i.e. not based on time of notification, AND must have reported to SCORER'S TABLE
