3701 – general information
• Redundant 24VDC Power Inputs
• One or two 3701/4X Input Modules per base, each with six independently configurable
transducer input channels, plus a seventh Keyphasor channel
• Two types of Input Modules (both accept prox probe and accel transducers):
• PAV (Proximitor Accelerometer Velomitor) also accepts Velomitor and Dynamic
Pressure transducers
• PAS (Proximitor Accelerometer Seismic ) also accepts Seismic transducers
• PAA (Proximitor Accelerometer Aeroderivative ) also accepts Aeroderivative
Interface Module – only for 3701/44
• Channels 1-6 can be configured for Acceleration, Velocity, Radial Vibration, Thrust
Position, Dynamic Pressure, and Keyphasor/Speed1,1
• Channel 7 (Keyphasor/Speed3) uses Proximitor or magnetic pickup
• 6 discrete inputs: trip multiply, alarm/relay inhibit, latch reset, special alarm inhibit3,
run mode, IP/PW reset
Notes:
1. Limited to single event per revolution Proximitor® sensor Input.
2. Keyphasor signal in one Input Module can be used by channels in the other Input Module on the same base.
3. Prevents Keyphasor triggering errors and Keyphasor Not OK checks from driving the Protection Fault status and associated relay.
3701/40-44-46 Features – Signal Processing

• 0.0625 Hz to 10 kHz dynamic frequency response

• 24 bit A/D conversion
• Configurable measurements (in addition to default measurements
for each channel type):
• Bandpass - fully adjustable high-pass and low-pass corners within the
dynamic frequency response. Configurable filter order (1,2,4,6, or 8th )
• Amplitude Extraction - a amplitude extraction is the amplitude at a user
configured center frequency and bandwidth. The band around the center
frequency can range from a single spectral line (bucket) closest to the center
frequency, to the center spectral line plus 5 lines on each side (11 total
buckets). Requires Asynchronous spectrum.
• nX - integer or non-integer order from 0.1x to 100x in increments of 0.1x.
Requires a Keyphasor. nX tracking filters have a bandwidth of 0.075X.
• Asynchronous spectral waveforms - Fmax can be set between
10 Hz and 10 kHz in 10 discrete steps. Fmin is always 0 Hz. The number
of spectral lines can be set from 100 to 3200 in 6 discrete steps.
• Synchronous spectral waveforms - Number of samples per revolution can be
set from 8 to 4096. Number of revolutions per waveform can be set from 1 to
1024.
