Transferencia de Calor II
Objetivos Generales
•El estudiante será capaz de:
Reconocer numerosos tipos de intercambiadores de calor y
clasificarlos; desarrollar un conocimiento de la incrustación (los
sedimentos) sobre las superficies y determinar el coeficiente total
de transferencia de calor para un intercambiador de calor; realizar
un análisis general acerca de la energía en los intercambiadores de
calor; obtener una relación para la diferencia de temperatura media
logarítmica con el fin de usarse en el método de la LMTD y
modificarla para los diferentes tipos de intercambiadores de calor
con el uso del factor de corrección; desarrollar relaciones para la
efectividad y analizar los intercambiadores de calor cuando no se
conocen las temperaturas de salida, aplicando el método de
efectividad-NTU, y conocer las consideraciones básicas en la
selección de los intercambiadores de calor.

Inrtercambiadores de Calor
Un intercambiador de calor es un dispositivo que se usa para transferir energy térmica
(entalpía) entre dos o mas fluidos, entre una superficie sólida y un fluido o entre
partículas sólidas y un fluido, a diferentes temperaturas y en contacto térmico.
Para flujo cruzado sobre los tubos, el movimiento del fluido, y por lo tanto la
mezcla, en la dirección transversal (y) se impide por las aletas de los tubos, pero se
produce para la condición sin aletas.
Los Deflectores se usan para establecer un flujo cruzado e introducir mezcla turbulenta del
fluido del lado de la coraza, que mejoran la convección.
El número de pasos del tubo y la coraza puede variar, e.g.:
• Intercambiadores de Calor Compacto
Ampliamente usado para alcanzar grandes transferencia de calor por
unidad de volumen, particularmente cuando uno o ambos fluidos es un gas.
Caracterizado por grandes areas de superficie de transferencia de calor por unidad
de volúmen, pequeños pasajes de flujo, y flujo laminar.

From the graph, note that with increasing water flow rate, both the blood and water outlet
temperatures decrease. However, the effect of the water flow rate is greater on the water
outlet temperature. This is an advantage for this application, since it is desirable to have the
blood outlet temperature relatively insensitive to changes in the water flow rate. That is, if
there are pressure changes on the water supply line or a slight mis-setting of the water flow
rate controller, the outlet blood temperature will not change markedly.
