Let the students know the new shape and reviewing the previous shapes with them.

Select (S):

Today I taught KG1 students math lesson and it was about Diamond shape, it is a new shape for this week
that they will going to focus on it. I started the lesson with warmer activity by showing them shape song
then review with them some previous shape with them and show them flashcards. I showed them how to
draw the new shape which is Diamond on the white board, also I used the flashcards to show them the
shape.

Describe (D):

The lesson was for KG1 A students, the lesson take place in their classroom and I used the circle time and
the activities area for this lesson. I have a goal for this lesson and I was trying to achieve it, I want them
to recognize the new shape and know about it, I want to let them know how to draw the Diamond shape.
The students were engaged in the circle time they were excited to draw the shape on the board and they
were engaged while I play the shape song for them, they did the activities well and they like them.

Analyze (A):

The students were engaged and do understand all of the shapes, they understand the new shape directly
and that was because they always review with them all of the shapes they are going to learn in the
semester but in one week they focus just on one shape so students can remember it. Moreover, when I
taught them the Diamond shape they were understanding the shape and some of the students know the
name of it from before, and they identify the topic. I engaged the students by used the shapes song and let
the students draw the shape on the board to engage them with the lesson.
Appraise (A):

The students know the shape already from the day before and they know the other shapes when I make a
review with them, they were answering correctly. They like the activities for this lesson and they were
excited while doing them.
My lesson meet my teaching goals, because at the end when I make the assessment for them they were
understand the shape and the name of it, they were able to recognize it when I show them the shape with
the other shapes. And they answer my questions correctly.

Transform (T):

In the future, I might make more challenging activities for this lesson and more activities that could get
their attention more, I can let the students draw the shape on the air in the opening of the lesson, and I can
also read a story about shapes for them.
In this lesson, my voice were not loud enough so I lose the controlling of them at the end of the lesson but I
will try to focus in this next time.
