Access To An Unlimited Treasury

Do you feel like shouting? You will after reading Deuteronomy 28:12-13 in the Amplified Bible
which says:

“The Lord shall open to you His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its
season and to bless all the work of your hands; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not
borrow. And the Lord shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and
you shall not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you
this day and are watchful to do them.”

These two verses contain seven priceless benefits. . .giving you unlimited access to the greatest
treasure ever.

This unlimited treasury is available to every believer who follows two simple instructions. Here are
the seven priceless benefits.

1. You have unlimited access to the treasures of heaven.

Let me put it another way. . .your heavenly treasure has more wealth than King Solomon, King
Midas and the world’s 1,645 billionaires combined and tripled. In fact, all that accumulated wealth
would just be chump change when compared to the treasury in heaven to which you have unlimited
access.

As I started writing this teaching. . .I was led to Genesis 28:12 which says:

“And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and
behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.”

As I read and re-read this verse. . .I could see angels. . .not cute cupids with a harp but mighty
warrior angels. . ascending and descending into homes. . .with untold wealth from the heavenlies.

2.John 1:51 says:

“And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the
angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.”

In your mind’s eye. . .just imagine angels forming a chain from heaven to earth. . .

bringing wealth and riches into your house.

Is this image real? Absolutely. So long as the windows of heaven are open over your life.

When we give our tithes and offerings. . .we activate the principles found in Malachi 3:8-10 where
our giving opens the windows of heaven.

Are you a tither. . .a giver?

Close your eyes as I’m doing right now.

Imagine you’re in a service and it’s time to give your tithes and sow your offerings. With your eyes
still closed imagine the hand of God reaching from one side of the horizon and pulling the windows
of heaven back so you can receive your blessing.

Malachi 3:10 in the Message Bible says:

“. . .Test me in this and see if I don't open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your
wildest dreams. . .”

You have open and unlimited access to the treasures of heaven through the open windows.

Can somebody say “Hallelujah.”

2. Pour rain on your land on schedule.

There’s an old gospel song by the great Dottie People’s entitled “He’s An On Time God.”

(He's an on time God, yes, He is).

Oh, on time God, yes, He is.

(Job said), He may not come when you want Him,

(but He'll) be there right on time;

(I tell ya He's an) on time God, yes, He is.

I encourage you to go to youtube.com and search for this song. . .it will fire you up.

Now let’s look at Galatians 6:7 in the Amplified Bible:

“Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned,
disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He
inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only
is what he will reap.”

“…For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap.”

Notice the verse doesn’t say “might reap” “could reap” “should reap” … no the scripture says “will
reap.” It is an absolute fact. . .you will reap. . .even though you may not have seen it yet because
God will not allow “…His precepts being set aside.”

Don’t be moved by your circumstances or the delays you’ve experienced. . .because the rain. . .the
financial blessings are right on time. . .on schedule.

Galatians 6:9 says;

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

The Amplified Bible translation of Galatians 6:9 says:

“And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time
and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.”

Regardless of your circumstances, situations or problems. . .if you do what is right. . .do not
doubt, give up, give in, or weaken your faith or confession. . .your harvest will come on time. . .the
rain of His blessing flow is getting ready to start. . .it’s on time.

Leviticus 26:4-5 in the Message Bible says:

“I will send the rains in their seasons, the ground will yield its crops and the trees of the field their
fruit. You will thresh until the grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting time;
you'll have more than enough to eat and will live safe and secure in your land.”
You will have more than enough. . .thank you, Jesus.

3. Bless the work you take in your hands.

Hold your hands up. . .what do you see?

Something to cover your mouth when you yawn. . .something to eat with. . .something to comb your
hair with. . .something to work with. . .something to play with.

When God looks at your hands, He sees unlimited potential for blessings, miracles, and
prosperity. We have that authority as believers!

In John 3:35 we read, “The Father loved the son and placed everything in his hands.”

When the soldiers came to take Jesus captive in the Garden of Gethsemane, the first thing they did
was to bind his hands. Why?

. . .those hands had made mud, placed it on the eyes of a blind man that allowed him to see instantly.

. . .those hands took the five loaves and two fishes from a young man and fed a multitude of people.

. . .those hands had been laid upon a great host of people who found His healing touch brought
instant relief to their sick and suffering bodies.

. . .thosehands stopped a funeral procession. . .opened the coffin of a young boy and gave his mother
great joy and him a new life.

. . .those hands had resurrection power -- but so do yours.

John 14:12 says:

“He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he
do; because I go unto my Father.”

In 2 Timothy 1:6 in the Amplified Bible we are encouraged to “. . .fan the flame of God through the
laying on of hands.”
“That is why I would remind you to stir up (rekindle the embers of, fan the flame of, and keep
burning) the [gracious] gift of God, [the inner fire] that is in you by means of the laying on of my
hands [with those of the elders at your ordination].”

God listed very specifically in His Word how we are to use our hands to save the lost, heal the
sick, deliver the oppressed and finance the end-time harvest.

But it starts with you. . .realizing the power that is in your hands. . .

1 Timothy 4:14 says:

“ . . .neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given by prophecy, with THE LAYING ON OF
HANDS … .”

The gifts are given by the laying on of hands through divine direction.

The “. . .gifts and calling of God are without repentance.”(Romans 11:29). As a born-again
believer, the gifts are yours. . .but they need to be stirred up. It’s time for you to move outside your
comfort zone.

You are given wisdom through the laying on of hands. “Joshua. . .was full of. . .wisdom; for Moses
had laid HIS HANDS upon him. . .”(Deuteronomy 34:9).

What God did for Joshua, He will do for you because He is no respecter of persons.

The scripture also teaches that we are to “Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is
in the power of THINE HAND to do it”(Proverbs 3:27).

4. You will lend to many nations.

I have read all 800,000 words in the 66 chapters of the Bible from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21.

In fact, I’ve read the Bible through a number of times but I have never once seen where the Bible
says that debt is good. It’s just not in the book.

Truthfully, the fact that the scripture has nothing positive to say about debt should give us
pause if not concern about its potential for evil.
Scripturally speaking, debt in and of itself, is not a sin. If it were a sin, no doubt the Word would
have discussed the wages of debtjust as it does the wages of sin.

While being in debt may not be a sin . . . as far as lenders and borrowers go …we are to be on the
lending side.

Deuteronomy 15:6 in the Amplified Bible says:

“When the Lord your God blesses you as He promised you, then you shall lend to many nations,
but you shall not borrow; and you shall rule over many nations, but they shall not rule over you.”

The scripture says “you shall not borrow.” That statement is pretty clear to me. Do not borrow.
Which leads to our fifth point.

5. You will never have to take out a loan.

I’m firmly convinced that warning labels should be placed on every loan document offered by any
business or company.

Taking out loans. . .getting into debt will kill a person just as quickly. . .if not, quicker than smoking
cigarettes.

Debt is bad if it creates strife in your family. . .prohibits you from doing the things that the scripture
clearly instructs you to do. . .requires you to make decisions based on the world instead of the Word.

The only way debt is ever good. . .is if there is an offsetting asset. . .and you have a plan to pay
the debt off rapidly. . .not someday. . .but now.

When it comes to getting out of debt. . .too many people in the world. . .either give up hope
completely or they fall into the “someday syndrome.”

Someday things will get better; someday I’m going to have money; Someday, I won’t have to work
like this. Someday I’m going to get out of debt. Someday, I’m going to start giving the way I really
want to.
I have news for you….someday is TODAY….right now….this is the day. . .for you to determine
there is going to be an immediate change in your finances. . .you’ll stop buying what you want and
only what you need. Today, you’re creating a plan to get out of debt RAPIDLY.

When your someday becomes today. . .then the words of Job 41:11 in the Contemporary English
Version will become a reality in your life.

“I am in command of the world and in debt to no one.”

You will also become an example of Romans 13:8 in the Amplified Bible which says:

“Keep out of debt and owe no man anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his
neighbor [who practices loving others] has fulfilled the Law [relating to one's fellowmen, meeting all
its requirements].”

6. God will make you the head, not the tail.

Deuteronomy 28:13 says:

“And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou
shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I
command thee this day, to observe and to do them.”

Remember these words were first used on slaves … walking in a slave mentality . . . coming up out
of Egypt. They were used as an example for us… according to I Corinthians 10:11 that we might
escape the bondages of slavery they experienced and know how to enter our Promised Land, the
abundant life Jesus redeemed us for.

First, get ahold of this. . .THE LORD SHALL MAKE THEE. Not anybody else, the Lord. . .our
great God Jehovah. . .Elohim, the Almighty One shall make you.

We’re not talking about an assistant to an assistant. . .even an angel. . .God Almighty will make
YOU.

The head and not the tail.

According to Strong’s Concordance the Hebrew word for head is ro'sh and it means:
“head, top, summit, upper part, chief, total, sum, height, front, beginning, choice, best.”

The head is a position of leadership.

The tail according to Strong’s Concordance means “the end of something.”

God’s plan is to make you the chief. . .the choice. . .the best. . .the total of all that is. He never
intended for you to be the end of a thing.

Colossians 2:10 in the New Living Translation says:

“So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and
authority.”

Get ready to shout as we read Deuteronomy 28:13 in the New Living Translation which says:

“If you listen to these commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, and if you
carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top
and never at the bottom.”

I want you to pay particular attention to the last eleven words in that verse. Let’s read them again.

“You will always be on top and never at the bottom.”

God’s desire for you is so clear. . .He wants you to be the chief. . .the leader who is always on top. .
.winning in the game of life.

7. You always want to be the lead dog in the pack or the view never changes.

Deuteronomy 28:13 says in part:

“. . . thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath. . .”

I love the language found in the Message Bible.

“. . .you'll always be the top dog, never the bottom dog. . .”

Ok. . .a bit of humor first. . .acutally, it’s a life lesson.

If you’re the lead dog in the pack. . .your scenery is always changing. . .however, if you’re not
leading. . .your view always remains the same.

Now let’s look at Deuteronomy 28:13 in the New Living Translation which says:

“If you listen to these commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, and if you
carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top
and never at the bottom.”

I want you to pay particular attention to the last eleven words in that verse. Let’s read them
again.

“You will always be on top and never at the bottom.”

Who’s always on top. . .never at the bottom. . .a leader.

When a leader sees others with a need. . .he/she should always be ready to intercede and
intervene on their behalf.

Proverbs 12:24 in the New Living Translation says:

“Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave.”

This is what I call an either or scripture.

Either you work hard and become a leader. . .or. . .if you don’t work hard. . .you won’t be a leader
but will, in fact, become a slave.

Need another reason to be a leader instead of a follower. . .they make more money.

You may not have felt or even feel now that you’re smart enough to be the leader God wants you to
be. . .but truthfully, what He thinks about you is much more important than what you think
about yourself. . .at the moment.

1 Corinthians 1:26

“Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or
wealthy when God called you.”
God has the unique ability to make something out of nothing and that’s what He’ll do with you.
. .if you just let Him. He sees leadership potential in you. . .that’s why you’re His masterpiece.

Entrance into the treasury of heaven is yours. . .provided you follow the final two instructions in
Deuteronomy 28:13 in the Message Bible which says:

“. . .as you obediently listen to and diligently keep the commands of God, your God, that I am
commanding you today.”

1. Obediently listen

2. Diligently keep the commands of God

Or as I like to say it.
