Resident Profile
News Bob and Debbie Lutz
We both grew up In Utah, we were high school sweet-
hearts, and was married in 1974. In the late 70’s, we were
blessed with 2 wonderful sons. Bob worked in the rock
crushing business while Debbie worked some part time
jobs, but for the most part, was a stay at home Mom.
In 1990, we decided to leave the cold winters behind, so
Bob accepted a recycle crushing job in sunny Southern
California and we relocated. After our boys were raised,
Debbie went back to college and became a nurse. Not be-
ing fond of the hustle and bustle of living in the big cities,
we purchased a home in a neighborhood 10 miles south
of Corona with nothing between us and town. We loved
the peace and tranquility, but, 20 plus years later, the
city grew out to us and was no longer peaceful. We knew
when we retired, we would need a change.
So, about 5 years ago we decided to make Arizona our
retirement home, lots of sunshine and convenient to
family and friends in So-Cal. So we took a few weekends per year to drive over and investigate all the pos-
sibilities. After our first visit to Festival 4 years ago, no matter where we looked, from Prescott to San Tan, we
kept returning here. Everyone here is so nice and friendly, and the location is great! A few miles out, nothing
between us and town, right up our alley! In our hearts we knew, this was the place for us. So in 2017, we
sold our home in Corona, and purchased in Festival and we love it!
Debbie worked in nursing for 17 years and retired in 2017. Bob still works, managing crushing and recycling
operations for a large asphalt producer in Orange County. So, we drive over here a couple of weekends a
month until he retires next year. In Bob’s spare time, he loves golf, Corvette’s, and playing guitar. Debbie
loves doing crafts and playing cards. We both love to travel, entertain, and meet new friends. We can hardly
wait to be full time residents and world travelers!
